“Good example of Lutheran Church”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

This is a good example of a Lutheran Protestant Church, and I would suggest coupling it with a visit to the nearby Catholic Church so you can contrast and compare.

When we arrived there were the obligatory wedding couples having their photos taken outside! Small fee to get in. It has nice grounds, quite pleasent to sit in.

The church has some interesting stained glass windows and a tower to go up. Very interesting to see the large clock.

“Like no other place here! Loved it! Photographers dream!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2013

It's an architectural masterpiece surrounded by a leafy, elegant neighborhood from the old German days. Don't miss the clock tower - wonderful views with incredible last century German machinery that still functions like clockwork! It's a steep staircase though, so take it easy! Yet I saw an old man go up carrying a small seat for short rests - respect! The feeling inside is peaceful and gives you a sense of calm before another hike around this remarkable hill top. Close to the Governor's mansion and other period cobblestone streets. An absolute must see!!

“Very peaceful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

I didn't pay for the ticket cause I went there after 6. Museums or parks like this usually didn't cause you a buck after 6 ;) I've been studied in Christian and Catholic schools for my whole lofe, so it was life to visit church. I felt a bit sick when I got near a temple before visiting this. I don't know if it was just about my mind resisting temples but the church did bring peace to me. And it's always cool to be in touch with something that you're familiar with when you're in a strange place even if you're spending vocation there.

“the large clock tower is worth a look”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2012

the church inside is very peaceful and quiet, but typical protestant blank white walls. its worth climbing the tower to look at the mechanics of the old clock
