Very nice hotel, everything is perfect, breakfast buffet Amazing.
Room very good, even the standard room is quite big and include all your need.
Very special the attention from the staff to customer need, they are really try their best to fell you like at home.
We stayed for five nights in Qingdao and did not regret our choice of hotel. The service was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, with good English - most times. The restaurant was very good, and the room service also, with excellent prices. Fantastic breakfast buffett!
The only downside is the location of the hotel, as we had problems finding a taxi (twice!) to take us there! It was too far for them.
Also, the building work at the hotel continued until late at night, it did not bother us too much, but was not great either.
Sadly the air in Qingdao is very polluted, so we did not get the break for China's pollution as we hoped. But that is not the hotel's fault ...
We based our stay at this hotel based on the high ratings of previous visitors, and we were not disappointed in any way.
The rooms were as one would expect from a 5 star rating, and we found all staff courteous, friendly and knowledgeable.
Service is impeccable from the second you arrive. There are doormen at all times who will help ladies out of the car (if you're being dropped off at the front) and who always make sure to tell you to watch your step entering.
Once you go through the doors and into the hotel lobby you are immediately greeted with a bow and a smile by a hotel greeter. If it's your check-in then they will proceed to guide you with a smile the whole time to the front desk where you will be assisted. If you are in the lobby waiting around you will be offered water and a seat in some couches in the lobby. You are then guided to the elevator (not just pointed in the right direction) and someone will accompany you up to your room to give you a tour and explain different things about the room and about different services available.
The first night we checked in we were also immediately given juice and snacks of fresh vegetables as well as warm wash cloths since the service staff noted that we must be tired from our travels.
The next day my mom had made an itinerary of our days events which included some hiking and beach going. She really just made it to keep track of what we were doing but I guess the service staff thought it was written to them. They left their own note as well as more fresh juice and snacks as well as a small tub to soak our feet in since in their note they stated that we would probably want to soak our feet after a long day of hiking.
There's a bowl of fruit in the hallway in the room and while my mom and I ate some of it, my brother and my cousin staying in the room next to us didn't touch it. Not because they didn't want any, really just because they didn't think about eating it. The service staff must have taken notice and replaced it with fresh vegetables again and left a note stating that they noticed the fruit hadn't been touched and wondered if vegetables would be more to their liking.
In the hallways if you happen to see service staff they will always greet you and are always smiling at you.
Their coordination is seemless as well. Their service staff wear headphones and communicate with each other through almost whispers. For breakfast in the morning someone will greet you as you reach the lobby from the elevator and guide you to your next 'guide' who will then take you to the person who ultimately seats you for breakfast. Each person already knows to expect you because of their communication through the headphones which is done very quietly.
Also everyday when your hotel is cleaned they leave stuffed animals (we got 2 new ones for each day we were there), a male and female as well as little candies on a tray on the bed. The service staff also makes sure to fill out a 'weather sheet' that tells you what the weather is supposed to be as well as any recommendations they have (ie: bring an umbrella).
Ok. Service aside, how is the hotel? It is aboslutely wonderful. From the lobby to the rooms...fantastic. Complete comfort. There is both a bath and a shower in the bathroom with a radio and a phone next to the toilet (I don't know why you would have to use that but it's there...). The bed has a series of small dimmer lights over the headboard area so that you can quite easily read in bed without disturbing anyone. There is also a nightlight option for people who tend to get out of bed at night. They have slippers waiting by the bed for you. A writing desk complete with everything from a stapler to a magnifying glass. They also have a CD player/alarm radio thing complete with a small selection of CDs that play a variety of relaxing instrumentals.
All other amenities are great as well. Pool, game rooms, bar... There is an attendent in the pool changing room and I have actually seen her towel up little kids and brush their hair for them.
I do have to say though, if you're not a native Chinese speaker you may be missing out on some of the exceptional service (not because they won't provide it, simply because of the language barrier).
Stay here. You're in good hands. Absolutely great.
This is by far the most attentive service of any hotel I have stayed in in China (and I stay in one a week). The staff are exceptionally willing to help and will go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and hassle free. From the freshly cut fruit sent to your room daily, to noticing you are ill and sending up complimentary juice, to letting you know what type of clothing to wear the next morning, everything the staff does is geared towards making your stay more pleasant. Well done the management here - what you have achieved is quite remarkable.
