“Good Italian Restaurant in QingDao”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I visited this restaurant during Chinese new year holidays.
They served big and excellent meals.
There are a good staff who speaks fluent English, and friendly chef Stefano, so I had a good time.
Having dinner at this restaurant is costly, I paid about 500 RMB.
But if I have a chance to go to QingDao,I will go there again.

“Excellent food but poor value!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

I appreciated the high quality cuisine and excellent service. Sadly, it's not good value for money. Just a moderately sized salad (the cheapest entree/main course item I could find), was 38RMB and a small pasta dish I ordered was 80RMB. I would have left hungry, if I hadn't had a big lunch. The house wine was of a fine quality as well, but at 58RMB for a small quantity?! The bread, olive oil and Balsamic vinegar come complementary and they are superb, but then they charge a 10% service fee, so you do not leave feeling that you were dining in an obliging atmosphere. More choices of substantial individual items. beside sets, that don't just cater for the top end, would really make me want to come back - but then again they also have every right to cater for the type of customer they really want. Maybe I just don't belong there!

Friendly, helpful lady supervisor who speaks fluent English. Friendly Italian chef who'll mingle with the guests and even have a drink with you. Nice.
