Located near the MRT and also walking distance, about 10 mins, from the airport bus shuttle stop. Airport bus cost RMB 15.50 and takes 45 mins from airport. Agree with most people that room is a little hot as temperature cannot be controlled. Need to open the window to ventilate the room but night have to close as traffic noise from outside can still be heard 26 floors up. Room is very clean and has internet cable but no wifi. Paid RMB 179 for the room per night. Would stay here again if I were to visit Shenyang again. Only some receptionist speak English.

Did not like this hotel as much as the Ibis.Sanyuan in Beijing. It was less expensive that Beijing ,but the breakfast buffet was not as expansive. The room was soooo hot. had to pry the window open and jam a pilow to keep it open in -10c because the thermostat did not work. I had to coordinate the checkout for our group of 12 with staff that did not speak english. Not easy or pleasant to do.

Pros: close to the Mao zedong statue..
Nice and comfortable rooms
You can buy train tickets in the hotel, room 1605
Good price for the quality of the accomodations

Cons: night staff couldn't speak English, day staff could
Wifi was free but didn't work all the time, it on and off constantly
No nightlife close to it or tourist attractions either
The woman in the front desk tried to over charge us

We booked this hotel via the official Ibis website. We chose this over local Chinese budget hotels thinking it has international infrastructure and it is smoke free. BUT, it was quite disappointing. First, the taxi driver could not find the hotel. Second, the reception could not find our booking. As we entered the room, we were overcome by pungent cigarette smell which did not go away at all. The worst was we had to spend the whole night bashing mosquitos. It was not even summer!

Breakfast was terrible and we had to ask guests not to smoke near the restaurant. Last but not least, as they could not find our booking, they could not cancel our booking meaning that we may be charged for not canceling (according to the Ibis official site). After a long period of explaining and talking to the manager on the phone, it turned out that our booking could not be found because they thought the title (i.e., Mr, Ms, Dr etc) in the e-booking form was a name! Once that was settled, we definitely will not stay in the hotel on our return trip.

Usual Ibis China style of decoration and room. Functional, basic but comfortable. Only problem with this hotel is that the bedrooms are OVER HEATED and there is no way to control the heat. Even with the window open (-11 c outside) the heat kept coming, which meant quite an uncomfortable night's sleep. One safety issue for the rooms might be that there are NO spy holes or chains on door to see who might be the other side.
Breakfast was ok, being usual Chinese style- fried noodles, rice, zhou, you tiao, hard boiled eggs, 'coffee' and juice drink.
Service ok at check in, but more focus on chatting with each other or doing other things than on the guest. House keeping, very polite and welcoming. Overal though, good value for money (179 rmb) for this pary of SY.

as i am a foreigner my comments and views are only applicable to foreigners which is a priority, the hotel is a cheaper one and good for travelers who are on a reasonable budget but facilities which are stated to be provided actually have no existence in real, the bar is a **** and the house keeping service are ill mannered and untolerable, for instance:there is a tag on the door which says that if you want not to be disturbed than please hang on the tag but even if you hang on the tag the house keeping maids will knock your door and even tend to enter your room which is a great destruction to your privacy .The bar has drinks which are age old and no one to exactly serve it,it is written on the menu card that the snack and bar are 24 hours of service but that is lie and when you ask the staff then they reply with arrogancy, this is my view about this hotel and would even like to say that this is the condition of present 2012 year and would strongly like to advice all my foreign fellows not to enter this hotel if you expect anything international and what is the use of a staff which speaks and understands good english but actually cannot fullfil your demands eventhough they are written on notices..please do not go as it is a****ING hotel and strongly tell no foreigner to go..
