Was informed it is a must to visit the Russian Street. Took the tram and stop at Shengli. Walked across Shengli Bridge and you will reach the beginning of the street. It is quite a disappointment, as I discovered it is just a short pedestrian street, flanked by some old Russian style buildings. Also flanking both sides of the street are peddlars selling various trinkets, russian dolls, russian made toys and binoculars, chocolates and cigarrettes. My advice? If you plan to buy any of those things, do bargain down to 50% or less. Aside from these souvenirs, the buildings are quite interesting and some are preserved beautifully.

Nothing to see, do or eat.. Lots of cheesy souvenir shops and some vaguely Russian architecture with a few signs in Russian.. And.. That's.. It..

This was a disappointment for us too.

The street is not overly long and full of souvenir shops and stalls. It is also slightly decayed looking.

Not really worth a special trip, but if in the vicinity it is worth a short stroll to see the "Russian/Chinese" fusion of architectural styles and signage.

Only really good for a short walk along it. We walked its length then headed into the nearby market which we enjoyed more.

The Dalian Russian Street was a disappointment to me. Having seen the Russian street in Harbin, with its magnificently restored Russian buildings, this was a street filled with shops and booths selling souvenirs to tourists. A few of the roof-tops over the booths appeared to be Russian architecture, but there is not much to be seen, and much of it is in some state of decay. Frankly there are better places to see Russian architecture while simply driving around the city.

Interesting buildings in this district. However that is about it, Mostly just vendors selling trinkets.
