Was informed it is a must to visit the Russian Street. Took the tram and stop at Shengli. Walked across Shengli Bridge and you will reach the beginning of the street. It is quite a disappointment, as I discovered it is just a short pedestrian street, flanked by some old Russian style buildings. Also flanking both sides of the street are peddlars selling various trinkets, russian dolls, russian made toys and binoculars, chocolates and cigarrettes. My advice? If you plan to buy any of those things, do bargain down to 50% or less. Aside from these souvenirs, the buildings are quite interesting and some are preserved beautifully.
