We stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. I dad a suite booked , room was OK but a little bit tired but still OK. We went to eat in the revolving restaurant that serves Chinese food at 8.45 pm to be informed that we where too late as it was closed for the night ???? We went across the road to eat at a restaurant there but it was very ordinary looking so we returned to the hotel & ate in the lobby restaurant area. The food was very ordinary. I ordered Veal Oscar that looked great on the photo on the menu, When it came it had no crab meat, no Béarnaise Sauce & no Veal ??? They served a beef steak. I asked them if I had the wrong meal but no it was veal Oscar. ????
Breakfast was also very ordinary

Probably because it's now a Best Western, this hotel has improved a lot compared to what it used to be. And even though it’s not yet 100% worth its five stars, what I have seen this time was really not bad. It is my opinion the remaining weaknesses are fully balanced by its perfect location. The hotel is in Dashikou, i. e. right in the middle of Zhenjiang.

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. I hope they have all been renovated like the one I had. Some staff were able to speak English. That’s one of the two things they still have to improve, the other being the breakfast for Westerners. At this stage, it is acceptable but not yet at the right level.

And when you are in Zhenjiang, don’t forget that it the place where Pear S. Buck spent her childhood. Zhenjiang was a treaty port, with a British concession. The new museum is installed in the buildings of the former consulate. If you have some time, go there and have a look, or to some other touristic places, Zhenjiang is also an historical town.

This is the 5 star hotel of my hometown. But I am sad and have to admit it is thr worst 5-star hotel ever staryed: small lobby, small room, crap furnature. The annoying thing is that the laundry guy put small label on every piece, it hardened and hard to peel if off and caused damage; i do not know how they dry the cloths, they even over heated one of my polos and it discolored and had barbecue smoke smell for long time. Rate is not cheap. I can get same rate (corporate) in many other big cities but the facility, food and amenity are much much much better

Stayed 3 nights; good central location with a department store across the road, and plenty of shops around. There is a major building site opposite the hotel which was a little noisy on one night, but not too bad the rest - ask for a back room if necessary. The hotel has just been upgraded to 5-star. Rooms were reasonable size (not big) and had queen-sized instead of king bed, not as hard as some I've had in China; functioning air con; small bathroom was quite dated shower-in-bath arrangement where the water was a little slow to drain; reasonable quality towels changed daily; computer with internet supplied, but crashed both times I used it. Had a problem with the phone which took all morning to fix and made our schedules difficult to arrange - they gave us a gift of a bottle of wine as compensation. Most of the staff spoke english, tho not all; desk staff reasonably friendly altho a little slow to respond.
Breakfast included in price - not a huge buffet, but certainy plenty of choice with just enough western -style items. Had lunch in the lobby cafe (hamburger and chips were very good), small choice of wine by the glass (as well as bottles but can be expensive), mixed-drinks and beer are good value. Also had a chinese dinner in their revolving restaurant which we enjoyed very much - varied menu, good prices and service, good desserts and wine too.
There are more luxurious rooms and bars on the executive floors which may better reflect a five-star quality, but overall our experience was more in line with 3.5 - 4 star. I did enjoy our stay here tho, and would recommend and use again next time we are in Zhenjiang.

What first strikes you about this Best Western is that it is one of the tallest buildings in town with striking (and somewhat pleasing) architecture. The entrance and lobby are tasteful and elegant. The rooms, however, are like original Holiday Inn Express properties--basic, clean but nothing four-star.

The stay was quite satisfactory and not memorable really other than the somewhat extravagant public areas. A top to bottom remodeling would place this facility solidly in the four-star bracket.

The mattresses were sufficiently soft for these western bones. No added padding was necessary. The room worked well, but just had that 1990's budget look. The breakfast was fine.

I was expecting something a bit more modest, so my expectations were exceeded, though not by much. I would rate this as 3 1/2 bullets, but round it up to four for overall staff efficiency, sometimes lacking in Chinese properties.

Full service hotel in the center of town.

Rooms could use some work, very little hot water, worn/dated furnature, thin hard matresses.

Little english is spoken by the staff or at the front desk, although they try and be helpful

Food in restaurants is edible, but otherwise not very good.

They have many features, like free internet, fitness center, bowling alley, which is a plus.
