I have lived about 5 minutes walk from Casa Zoe for the past two years. When I first arrived in China and had a craving for American/Mexican food I decided to give Casa a try. I was very disappointed with the fajitas that I got. So disappointed that I didn't return for over a year. A few weeks ago I was invited to dinner and the host wanted to have it here. So it was time for a second chance, I ended up ordering a burger, which turned out to be one of the best burgers I've had in China (not the very best but very good!). With such good luck on round two I decided to go back a couple of weeks later. This time ordering burrito's, they were above average and much better than my first experience. I can now recommend this place.

Love the free nachos and salsa dip before a meal.

Caters well for family's and big groups.

Portions are enormous and well presented.

Used to do an excellent 20rmb gin & tonic, but they may have put their prices up.

Their two locations in Suzhou give you the choice of eating in a bigger restaurant setting in 'Hu Xi' or a smaller place on the other side of the lake by Times Square. Both have outside dining in good weather... That's a bonus.

Very nice & clean place to enjoy good breakfast skillets and 'A la Carte' (not bad effort at all) food. Nine Dip Burros & Spinach canalonis are good. The burger is BIG and pretty good . They have two branches one close to Xindu Plaza and the other one near Times Square. The one near xindu plaza is full during weekends but the the one near Times square always has room -for parking too ;) .

They also have daily lunch Buffet for Rmb 58. But this more like a fusion food. Nothing mexican in there.

So if you are looking for some thing close to a mexican food - order A la carte.

This is a great place to hang out and work for a couple of hours or brunch leisurely. Spacious, family-friendly layout and good background music track. Wifi and reasonable lunch buffet. Don't expect gourmet but then the prices are very reasonable. Buffet was generous mix of western food with a little mexican influence. Service was friendly although they disappeared after the lunch rush. Would go back.

A mainstay of Suzhou's western restaurant selection, we've been going to Casa Zoe on Xing Han Street for a few years now.

You'll find a lively atmosphere at this family restaurant. Be prepared for kids' birthday parties and large groups. As far as I know, Casa Zoe is the only restaurant in Suzhou with a children's play area, which is a nice touch.

The wait staff are friendly and courteous, and the food is generally prepared quite quickly for a restaurant of this size.

The breakfast specials are all very tasty, and Casa Zoe is a great spot for a Sunday brunch. They are very accommodating to large groups and they do accept reservations.

The only downside is that there seems to be some overlap in the Mexican menu. The burritos and soft tacos appear to be the same dish with little variation. When in doubt, choose the cheaper option - they are essentially the same thing!
