Rooms a good size , clean , quite and with good views. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. A little wear and tear showing but still a quality hotel. Comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast good. Bathroom free items adequate.
We stayed in this hotel for a long period of time while we were looking for a more permanent place to live.
KEY POINTS Service. This staff is truly kind and accommodating.
The air conditioners in the rooms are excellent....but come on, China! A/C's everywhere else are lacking....be prepared to sweat when you step out your door into the hallway, and the lobby is almost unbearable. The restaurant is sweltering while you eat.
The buffet is very extensive and if you are Asian, it offers all the things your stomach desires. If you are western, it is not worth the $27 you are charged for an additional breakfast. In other words...please know that only ONE breakfast comes with the room, the second breakfast costs $27. Its simply not worth it for both in a couple to have breakfast together. For a westerner, at best, its a continental breakfast...yoghurt, breads, fruit...nice selection, but certainly not worth $27. They have an "omelette" if you request it, but it doesn't include cheese! Don't waste your money, you can go around the corner and buy a fantastic breakfast at Pizza Hut...yes, Pizza Hut, for less than $5.
Having said that, behind the hotel is an extensive shopping mall...includes many excellent Chinese restaurants, but only a few have bilingual menus. You can find Pizza Hut, KFC, Subway, and a Starbucks knock off cafe. Be aware that right behind the hotel is a large supermarket with everything you need...we didn't discover this until 5 days in because we don't read Chinese.
The one thing that is absolutely inexcusable for a hotel that bills itself as a BUSINESS CLUB HOTEL...the inconsistent wifi. We have been frustrated the entire time trying to keep a connection. Be aware of this.
The room quality is still nice, but teetering on the edge of going down. If I could give this place a 3 1/2 I would. It is not a four, but its not really a three either. They need to keep putting resources into keeping their rooms nicely maintained. For example, instead of replacing the wall paper that is peeling, they replace it in spots, and then those places are peeling and discolored...so it just looks tacky.
Also, if you are looking forward to a luxurious bath, if you're a larger bodied westerner, you may not attempt to get in the tub because you probably won't be able to get out!
All in all, we were thankful for the atmosphere of this place, but let go of any preconceived notions that its a western hotel because of its name.

Best hotel on our tour of China in 6 cities. Next to large shopping and restaurant complex with Pizza Hut etc. hotel environs pleasant and staff very helpful . Breakfast excellent choice and quality. Room very clean with good views of lit up City . Someone left camera in Pizza Hut and it was returned to hotel that evening . Outside hotel good atmosphere on piazza and bar available in hotel.
And certainly 5 Star as far as service is concerned.
However, does need a makeover in places.
Rooms are a good size, very clean and provide for all needs.
It was commendable that they had gone to a lot of trouble for the World Cup with banners of all nations around a nice little lounge area.
Pity that in the same area is a dreadful screeching caged bird which was most disconcerting.
Screeches all through breakfast as well and for some reason they play loud music during breakfast

Breakfast was huge but can't get away from the screeching bird and loud music whilst eating .
Good variety of food catering well for both Asian and Semi Western.
Would stay again if the bird goes on holiday.......long one!
Shopping Centre 3 minute walk away, and many, Asian cafés behind to choose from for a traditional meal.
Lots of sign language and a smart phone to do the translation but all good in the end.

We stayed as part of a tour. It is out of town but there are food shops around it. The rooms are beautiful and big and clean. The breakfast was a good variety of East and West. Wifi is free but not available in your room, just in the lobby. Also in the lobby is a caged bird that makes the loudest ear-piercing screech I have ever heard.
No Google, Facebook or Twitter in China.
Stayed here 2 nights as part of our SNA tour. Free wifi in lobby. Happy hour 2 for 1. Helpful staff, great facilities. Foyer has a small bridge over a water feature. Be careful when you go to look at the birds in cages or else you'll do what my husband and others did and step into the water. Located within walking to supermarket, shops, banks, ATMs. Great place to walk around with plenty of restaurants. Rooms KS bed standard hard, which we like. Enjoyed watching the planting do some 30 trees opposite and along a new road.
