We booked this booked because of its location and the photos on their website. Both are disappointing. It is located near Ping Jiang Lu, a traditional Suzhou street with preserved architectures, trendy cafes, small arts and crafts shops etc. It used to be quite and relaxing, but now it is quite crowded. The hotel is at the other side of this street. Upon arrival we saw a boring chinese (and not traditional) architecture. Their marketing photos are showing the restaurants (very nice environment!) and the lobby only. The lobby was not easy to find hidden in a second building behind. The front building is unguarded and no one is in the reception during various hours. We felt quite insecure. We were upgraded to an en-suite. The room is actually quite nicely decorated, but worn down and dirty, especially the sofa and the carpet. The massage is so so. There used to be a gym, but now turned into restaurant. Needless to say we won't come back.
