“Extended visit to Suzhou”
Reviewed February 26, 2014

I stayed here on my first trip to China last year, then 2 more times later in the year. The facility is excellent. The employees made me feel welcome and were willing to engage in English conversations. I really enjoyed the work out room, Club 25 (25th floor lounge), the pool, the food and the location which is walking distance to the Jingi Lake area. I'm glad I made friends with several employees and they all wished I'd come back to stay at Marriot again soon.

Room Tip: Rooms that face south have a nicer view of the city.

I have been staying at Courtyard-Marriott over several trips during the last two years ,I always find this place quite comfortable and relaxing ,I also like the location ,well located in SIP ,surrounded by great Restaurants where you can find Western as well as local Cuisine and the added convenience of access to the subway system from the hotel , the efficient staff greets you with a wide smile and it feels like they really mean it , the concierge is always ready to assist weather you need transportation or recommendations to near by places .
within walking distance you can find Century Park ,nice green area so you can exercise if you like to be outdoors but not too far ,at the same time Courtyard has a swimming pool for those hot days of Summer or if you like to exercise indoors a well appointed gym with fully operational and modern equipment.
This place is run under the excellent direction of Annie Lu General Manager ,and her capable staff starting with Emma Sun Front Office manager and all the great people in different areas ,such as concierge, lobby, Momo café ,executive lounge etc.

I have been in several hotels here in Suzhou ,but for my experience Courtyard-Marriott is tops in my book.

Especial note to the great service the staff in Executive lounge provides to all the guests ,always attentive to our needs ,is very nice to share a drink or a snack after work in the relaxing atmosphere of the Lounge and people like Apple Zhang, Gary Gu, Anna Goi, Max ,Johanna ,Paul ,with especial appearances by Irene Gu, Angeline,Lena and many more to make sure the guest are well taken care during the downtime , and some companies take advantage of the available conference room to conduct business after hours .
By the way some of my coworkers from the USA, England and Germany have also tried Courtyard and have switched to stay here as well ,so is not just me but they have also recognized the value and comfort of this place .
I would like to apologize for not knowing all the names of the good people that help me during my stays ,but I will try to learn them all .

Thank you Courtyard-Marriott Suzhou.

Room Tip: South side rooms tend to be a bit warmer .

I stayed in the hotel for three nights and had a workshop for three days in the hotels conference room.
The rooms are excellent. good interior design.
The staff very friendly and helpful with anything. I forgot my iPhone charges and could use the hotels during my stay.
although the variety in the Marriott in shanghai is bigger the Breakfast is very good with a wide range of fruits,Chinese and western cuisine.
Definitely would stay there again

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for one night with my friend while visiting Suzhou during Chinese New Year. The hotel is on the edge of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) so it would be a good for anybody doing business in SIP. It is also right on top of a metro (subway) stop, Xinghai Square, so it was very easy to get to the city center and train station. It also a short cab ride away from Ligongdi, an expat area with quite a few bars and restaurants. However, the hotel itself has very little around it, the area is still developing, but will likely be more lively in a few years.

The rooms were quite nice, very modern, definitely a few steps up from any Courtyard in the US and about on par for a Courtyard in China (they tend be nicer in China compared to the US.) I will definitely consider staying at the Courtyard again on my next trip to Suzhou (for work or pleasure).

I only spent one night but the staff and facility was great. I would stay there again should I travel this direction in the future. Staff was super accommodating. The room was very nice. I wish the Courtyard's in the US were as nice as this.

The Marriott Courtyard Suzhou is truly a hidden gem! Being a Marriott Platinum member I have stayed at many Marriott’s over the past several years and the Suzhou Courtyard is better than most Marriott’s at less the cost. If a platinum member ask for an upgrade to the executive floor and access to the executive lounge, if not pay for the upgrade, on an extended trip it is well worth the cost. Anna and the team in the lounge provide a relaxing atmosphere, breakfast is served in the lounge in the morning plus a bar and snacks in the evening hours and while there is always a group to have a conversation with the lounge is never too crowded. Ann, the manager is constantly visible in the hotel and listens to feedback from the guests, she has a very professional group of managers and team members that provide quality service, always with a smile and a “welcome back” as you pass thru the door after a grueling day. The rooms are a good size; the beds are comfortable and like the entire hotel, very clean, safe and secure. To keep you from getting bored on extended stays besides the executive lounge there is an Olympic size pool and extensive gym on the 27th floor and a lounge and full service restaurant on the fourth floor. If you need to get out there is no better location in Suzhou, right across the street from one of the main subway stations with it’s supermarket, shops and restaurants with another 20+ restaurants within walking distance and a western medical clinic a five minute walk from the hotel on rainy days when it is impossible to catch a cab having access to all these options is a god send! If there are any questions on your stay or need tips on where to go to dine ask for Emma at the front desk, she always has an answer for your question. Many of my colleagues also stay at the Courtyard during their Suzhou visit, they have many options and none have regretted making the Courtyard their hotel of choice.

Room Tip: Room on the 25th floor is an excellent choice, easy access to the lounge and business center

This hotel is fantastic. It's in a much better location than say the Crown Plaza. The rooms are very nice, equivalent to Crown Plaza but the location is closer to everything. It's Walking distance to Blue Marlin which is a very popular restaurant & bar with Americans & Europeans. Easy to get a cab or my preference walk across the street and use the New subway system. The subway will take you to Times Square, Rainbow Walk, and many other popular shopping areas & restaurants. The hotel Lounge has live music at night and the main Restaurant Momo Café is very good. The staff are all super friendly. The room is serviced multiple times each day. Laundry service is outstanding. I will definitely stay here again.
