We stayed at this property in October, 2012. Rooms were large, free internet in rooms, but looked very worn. View was nice; small bathroom with good water pressure. Did not use room service nor pool. Old, worn hotel needs updating.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel!

We stayed in this hotel for one night and it is a very good 4 star hotel. The location is not great since it is in a newly developed area so there is nothing to do at night unless there is transportation. Since our transportation was provided and we only stayed one night and leaving early the next day, it is a very comfortable hotel with good buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: I don't think it makes any difference as there is nothing around the hotel other than commercial...

We only stayed for one night at this hotel on our China Star Holiday 'Yangtze 2 for 1 Special' tour.
The room was very clean with nice furnishings. I would rate it the second best hotel of our trip.
The breakfast buffet was good. As we were picked up by bus from the hotel entrance, I don't really know about the location and we packed so much into the day that we never had time to use the swimming pool.

Stayed two nights as part of a china tour.
Room was spacious, on a corner with two windows overlooking the city but pollution did not allow for much view.room very clean, bed good, lots of hot water and quiet location. That being said, I would not recommend this for independent traveller as quite removed from downtown area. Staff trying very hard but many with limited english. Breakfast buffet good selection of chinese and western. Very clean and attentive service.

We stayed in a bunch of supposed 5 star places in China and this one was pretty good four star. Were in for only 1 night on a 22 day grand China trek. Got a junior suite and had large bathroom. Flat screen TV's. Bed was reasonably comfortable, (almost anything better than the hard beds in Beijing!). Great buffet breakfast. Good selection of western and oriental buffet to choose from. The dining area seemed in between two towers in an atrium setting, lots of seating. Serving staff came back regularily with coffee refills. Friendly. As we were tired after a long day of exploring Tongli we did not care there was nothing to do around the Hotel itself.

We stayed in this hotel, on the 8th floor, for two nights in April 2012. The corner entrance is spacious, with polite, eager staff ready to help. The lobby is a vast expanse with a comfortable, open-sided bar and an efficient reception area subtly off to the side. Its highlight is a tapestry several storeys high. Lots of elevators meant no waiting. Our room was spacious and comfortable enough, but the carpet was not particularly clean, it was virtually impossible to see out the windows from the pollution residue, and it smelled of cigarette smoke. The bathroom had all the usual amenities, including a good supply of hot water under strong pressure. Breakfast, included in the price, was served in a large, somewhat noisy room. While the approach to the buffet was crowded and not streamlined, the Chinese and Western food was delicious and plentiful. If we were to return to Suzhou, we'd probably stay in a hotel closer to downtown and the river.

Room Tip: Higher up is better in case there is a wedding or reception in the lower level ballrooms.

Only stayed one night ; arrived late .
Very efficient and courteous staff .
Clean , quiet , large room .
Morning continental breakfast should satisfy the North american traveller .
Nothing very exciting to see in the vicinity ; well located although not downtown .
Don't miss the imperial canal that runs accross the city ;
as well as the very ''zen'' gardens
Would return any time .
