“Reasonable cost souvenirs”

Saishang Old Street
Reviewed June 26, 2017

Old street has always been a culture to most of the China cities, however, this one actually stands out
The souvenirs to bring home are at a very reasonable price, although this is still a tourist place, they didn't over price it like other cities.
We have bought some stones, painting, necklace
Personally, a must go place before leaving Inner Mongolia

If you are tired after visiting Da Zhao Temple, then this street will offer a different experience for tourists who wish to buy souvenirs to bring home.
Many similar products are sold from stall to stall. You will need to bargain for better prices. It is advisable to co-purchase with fellow tourists for better bargains from the same stall. It is basic courtesy not to touch the items on display unless you have a genuine interest to buy them. Among the things to buy from this street are: Mongolian costumes, milk-related products, and handicraft jewellery and accessories. This street can be completed within 45 minutes if you are a genuine buyer, otherwise 15 minutes if you are there for sightseeing.

Lots of people selling furs and leather goods as well as some antiques. There are also some shops to buy some Mongolian yoghurt.

This was exactly what I wanted it to be. The only downside was how expensive it was. My advice: haggle!

This street is on the western side of Dazhao temple at the back of the big statue. Very easy to find. A lot of shops where you can pick up souvenirs but need to bargain quite a bit. A few antiques also available. Leather goods, felt goods, bronze works, Mongolian food, Tibetan praying ware, furs, etc. Easy to hail a cab from there afterwards. If you want to see all shops one by one, plan about one and a half hour.
