“A place to experience freeze and splendid ice/light work”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

I love it. Simple and frankly. It is a must to go there during winter season. I think most of us go there during winter is due to this festival. It is a nice place. I am happy since you can enjoy the ice activities, like skate on chair/bike, and other Harbin winter activities near to the exit area. Advise to wear as warm as you can, and don't forget your snow boot and double/triple layer of glove. And also the hat (wear those like local people wear, with fur until to your ear), and scarf to cover your face. I enjoy it but unfortunately the freezing weather there force you to leave as soon as you can... Wear properly, and enjoy!!!

“unbelivable!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

extremly cold but amazing surrounding, like from a fairy tale.
It is a must! I don`t think you can see anything like this in any other part of world.
And a good advice would be : keep walking outisde. Don`t go inside for coffee becasue the frozen humid jacket & shoes will become wet and unpleasant. Outsde is cold and dry so u feel less cold :)
Amazing!

“WOW and WOW again”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

It was cold. We arrived at dusk and watched the lights turn on. what a beautiful evening. the lights and ice/snow carvings were fantastic.easy to walk around. Fun for everyone. Ice slides for those inclined. Horse drawn carriage rides and just so many sites to see. It was COLD so dress appropriately. I have never been to an ice and snow show so can't compare. i was amazed and so happy I went to it. There are warming places for tea/coffee. if you are in china and can arrange the trip during the festival. You should

“Wow about sums it up”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

The Ice Festival has always been on my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Not much to say except "WOW" - in the sheer size of the sculptures, the multi-facited colors that kept changing and did anyone tell you it can get cold. It was minus 25 degrees celcius the evening we were there. I have been to many places and this is one of life's "must do" events. Also do the Zhaolin Park - Ice Lantern Garden Party first because it is very good but not in the same league with the Ice Park

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

This place is simply magical. The gigantic ice sculptures and the lights were incredible. We went there at around 5:30 PM and it was freezing cold. At -32 degrees Celsius, cold as hell it was.

We went there via taxi even though the place was near the hotel where we stayed. We managed to stay until 9:30 PM but we had two visits to the restaurants to warm ourselves up. When we left, a lot of people were in queue waiting for a ride. Lucky for us, we hired a taxi for our whole day trip (including our trip to other destinations).

When visiting China on winter, you shouldn't miss this place!
