Nice place to have seafood dinner. Reasonable price but you must negotiate hard with the seller. If you not like bargaining , then this is not the place for you.
Easily accessible by taxi

“Interesting detour from Macau!”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

Yes, this place is a "tourist trap" and the vendors really marked up the price. What you need to do is to give them a ridiculous rate, and then just walk away. They will most likely call you back because the whole row of stalls are selling almost the same thing and once you walk away, they will miss your business - of course provided that it is not a busy day.
We bargained (walked away) quite a bit and got a reasonable price for all our purchase. Of course, you still need to pay for the restaurant's cooking plus service so all in, it will add up to be "restaurant price". If you do not enjoy bargaining, this is not a good place to visit.
Restaurant cooking fee will be fixed. So no bargaining there.
The price was quite ok for the seafood we had - sea urchin, hairy crab (in season), squid, bamboo clams, a huge grouper, some other huge clams, vegetable dish - total cost (include cooking) about S$200 - for 8 pax.
I will return if I ever visit Zhu Hai again as it was really interesting choosing the different variety of seafood. The restaurant cooking was also to our liking - I believe we went to the 2nd restaurant from the start of the food street. See the yummy pictures attached.

“Not so professional cooking”
Reviewed September 5, 2013

This place is something like the Sai Kung seafood paradise in hong Kong. Only thing is that it is probably more expensive due to the exchange rates now.

If you go there later in the evening, after 8.30 or 9pm on weekdays, you can get a good bargain for the fresh seafood from the hawkers if you know your prices.

Despite the fresh seafood, the restaurants's cooks are really not on par with the Hong Kong cooks at Sai Kung or Li Yu Men and the dishes that comes out can sometimes be disappointing. I had bought a 2kg live grouper once but the cook could not steam it probably and spoilt the taste of the whole fish.

For you fresh seafood lovers out there, do not have too much hope on this place if you have a taste bud as picky as me.

“Overrated Seafood Street”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Went there on a Saturday early afternoon, not too crowded.
As we walked along, the seafood vendors were calling out for our custom. Most were not honest, and gave high prices and bargained down the prices as we walked away.
Eventually, bought from the front stalls as they didn't jack up their prices. It was an experience in itself.
Went to the middle restaurant which was crowded for them to cook the seafood. They charged even for use of the bowl, plate, cup & chopsticks! Total bill for the cooking was 140¥ for 4 dishes.
Not really cheap when you add up the cost of the seafood.
Just a novelty.

“Great assortment of still living seafood”
Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

This place is hard to describe. It's a street about four blocks long of aquarium tanks with every imaginable seafood. I even saw alligator on my last trip. You are handed a basket and you start shopping. Every vendor is yelling at you in chinese to buy their seafood but everyone has about the same thing. There's every fish including shark and all there parts for purchase. An example of what's available many varieties of shrimp, lobster, king crab and other varieties, big oysters for frying, many varieties of clams, abalone, whelk, sea urchin, and the list just keeps going on. After you purchased your food then you have alot of people yelling at you to come do their restaurant to cook it for you. This is an experience not to be missed.
