Fee: Yes
Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: Yes, it is a little quirky (casino meets theme park meets spa) but that’s what makes this destination so interesting. Relax and have a massage and a unique cultural experience at one of the city’s most popular spas.

I have been to a lot of different spas of this type in China and was not impressed by Queen Spa. The facilities were old and grubby; it was extremely loud inside, and staff was very pushy. I got a manicure and a whole group of manicure ladies came into the room, seemingly just to keep the girl doing my nails company. They gossiped and giggled loudly the entire time. Finally, when I gave a 10% tip, the manicure lady complained.

I like this place.

If you are strict and understand that they will try to cross sell you massage, upgrade to their VIP or buy beer/food - then this will be an enjoyable trip

Be aware - they will ask you to give the maximum tip (ie 100 RMB) each time. So don't give it unless they deserve it.

If I stayed in Shenzhen, I would definitely upgrade to their VIP Plan.

This spa is good, however I was wondering is there such a similar spa in beijing? Spa with facilities and family oriented is really hard to find else where.

The spa is on 5 floors and offers a great choice of massage, gym, pool. Quality of massage is very much luck on who you get. It's rather like being in a casino without the slot machines and massage chairs instead. Free fruit and soft drinks on the whole a good experience.

Went with my wife and grown up off spring , we spent around 5 hours here and £400 but on the hole felt it was a real treat, there are some pitfalls, first the language issues, although there are customer service people with[english] badges they were not great and you will be asked to sign bills in chinese as you go and your final bill will be in chinese. We had issues with items on the bill for food that we ordered that never arrived but due to the language barriers we gave up arguing about it and just paid. Oh and if you are paying by credit card forget about chip and pin you must bring your passport or be accompanied to the cash machine outside by one of the Elvis impersonators. For travellers who are new to china be aware some of the people spend half their lives hacking up and spitting so when you are starting to dose in one of the lazyboys get ready for the guy or girl next to you suddenly to hack up and spit.. nice!
