My family have a 3D2N visit in Shenzhen, and we chose Chicago Suites International. When we arrived, at night, the reception said the reserved room was not ready, and she upgraded our booking to a family suite room. The suite room is very large and is out of our expectation. The location is very good, we have lot of restaurants, shopping malls around. The most important, we are just 2 to 3 minutes to the MRT and a large book centre.

My wife, daughter and I were in Shenzhen for 4D3N holiday, and we found the best deal in Chicago Suites International (CSI). The Deluxe Suite with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchenette, was priced at CNY568/night, including daily breakfasts for 3 persons. The Suite, at 80 sq.m., was huge. Other hotels charged the same price for a double room with roll-away bed.
CSI was located in the HuaQiangBei area famous for electronics shopping. Turning right from the hotel main entrance, just 20 meters away was Exit D of the Science Museum subway station. Going eastwards 2 stops was the LaoJie station of DongMen shopping area, and LuoHu station was another 2 more stops. Going westwards 3 stops was the HuiZhanZhongXin station next to the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. This location was excellent for both shopping and business.
CSI was not a fancy hotel. The hotel was on 2F, 5F, 6F, 20F to 26F of the building, the other floors were offices. Reception and the café were on 2F, and hotel shared the 3 elevators with office floors. There was no obvious security except for cameras, and nothing to prevent outsiders from accessing hotel floors. There were no bellboys. However, complaints about the room airconditioner and water heater were promptly taken care of by Engineering and Housekeeping.
Lighting on hotel floors was a garish orange, and there were LED lights in the bedrooms that changed colors. Condom packs were put in each bedroom. However, in the 3 nights we were staying there, there was no evidence that CSI was a red-light hotel, and it was quiet.
Our Suite was on the top 26F, with a wonderful view of ShenNan Road below, and mountains to the north. One bedroom had a King bed, while the other room had 2 single beds. There was a small TV in the bedroom, and a bigger LCD TV in the living room. Plug-in LAN was available free-of-charge.
The bathroom had a long bath and a separate shower enclosure. Provided were thick fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers, bottled water. There were hairdryer and magnifying mirror in bathroom, and medium-size refrigerator, kettle and hotplate in the kitchenette, but no utensils.
Breakfast at the hotel café was a choice of 5 sets, all a mix of Chinese noodles and meat or eggs. If you are paying for breakfast, it is advisable to eat elsewhere (there are several eating places adjacent to hotel).

The provided room is terrible with especially a strange smell in the room and the furniture are old and more like a “Jurassic Park” of era compare with the showed picture on the website and worst of all there is dust mite on the sofa and chair!!!!!!!. There is a total of 3 lifts in the apartment but 2 of them is under “service” and all the residences has to cramp into a small lift which stop on every even floor (we are staying on 22nd floor)

For this price I can easily find a hotel in the same velocity with better servicing even though if I have to pay a little bit. For sure I will never stay here again.

This is a very decent, clean, friendly and convenient place to stay at a very affordable budget price. Rooms are nice and spacious, beds a bit firm in the chinese standard, and no english channels - but for the price and location you can't beat it. Don't expect a full service hotel, but the staff are polite and helpful - not too much english, especially at night.

There is a western steakhouse on the premesis - not cheap by chinese standards, and not steakhouse by western standards - but if you fancy a western meal it is ok - the best part is the location which is so central in Hua Qiang Bei - resturaunts all around, the metro a hop skip and a jump away, and smack dab in the middle of the electronics market area if thats your thing, other shopping around as well, but mostly Chinese fashions - there is a 'western' fashion bazar nearby as well with good prices, and i think better quality than Louhu.

Oh, and free high speed internet! The regular room has couch, table chair, and bed behind a partition - the couch not too comfortable. The one bedroom suite has a seperate bedroom with the table and chair, and a living room with couch, easy chair, dinning table and a kitchenette - if you are interested in longer stays. Both provide the kettle and complimentary coffee/tea, refigerator and room safe. Bathrooms are upto par as is houskeeping with sheets and towels etc...

If you want a little annonymity - you can easily bypass lobby for entering and exiting the hotel, as it only occupies a few floors within the building, the rest of which are offices. One of the only downsides is that since there is no real lobby or enterance for the hotel on the ground floor, you are basically dropped off on a busy curb/footpath with your luggage, and you got to get shelp yourself to the hotel with your bags the enterance is very discreet, but not entirely hard to find - can be an issue if you have a lot of luggage - but at checkout the bell staff are very helpful.
