We just visited the Window of the World in Shenzhen and we get the night ticket as we arrived around 5:45pm already. So the entrance is RMB50 per head for the night ticket. When we entered the window of the world, we started to walk and visit the miniature places, cities, attractions from all over the world. What we didn't like was some of the area were so dark..like no spot light or even a light post that will lit the attraction. Some of will you passed by without noticing that it is another attraction that you shouldn't miss. Anyway, we pay only RMB50 so it is fine...what my hubby love is the Beer Festival that is ongoing at night..i guess...it was held at Caesar Palace and you will see a lot of beer bars selling from all over the world..my hubby only drinks Carlsberg and the price was so cheap compare to Hong Kong..there is also a LIVE show which entertain all the crowd..what we love is the people from age 0-75 years old are there..dancing and singing while drinking their beers. It is a really a fun night for us. My son loves it and definitely we will be back and that time we will stay for an overnight. We arrived in Hong Kong with a smile in our face..as we enjoyed our 3 hours trip to Window of the World.

We visited Window of the World to ride their indoor roller coaster but it and most of the other rides were closed for maintenance.

We roamed around the park (we didn't get a map when paying for our tickets) and struggled to find where the rides actually were...it's a huge site and although some of the attractions are obvious (there's an Eiffel Tower than you can see for miles) the layout was a little confusing.

The 'mini land' of model buildings from around the world was pretty and went on for miles but as we visited at night some of the park areas were poorly lit and we struggled to see where we were walking at times. They had a beer festival on but we didn't stop to enjoy it as we needed a meal. There were fast food options available in the park, and the beer was cheap, but as the rides were closed we didn't stop, instead eating in the Mall across the road.

Overall visit would have been better if the rides were open and we had been given a map (they may have some but we couldn't find any obvious place to get them). The park is easily accessing on the Metro with a stop opposite the park entrance.

For Chinese people, this place is great and i don't know any of my Chinese friends and colleagues who haven't had a great time. That said, for Westerners, this place is unfortunately typical of all such places in China - and i have been to many, in all parts of China.
I have visited this attraction 3 times, the first when i first came to China in 1997. The other 2 times i was supervising groups of children, with their Chinese teachers.
Be prepared for masses of people, all pushing, shouting, littering, spitting and so on. People smoke everywhere in China, so that's another huge turn off, particularly when eating. The eating areas are again typical Chinese. Huge crowds of people who have no regard for anyone but themselves, leaving the remains of there meals scattered everywhere.
The attractions themselves are good, varied and quite well done, which is why i rated this place "average".
Unfortunately, until you can accept the mindset of the Chinese, all such places are completely abhorrent to Western sensibilities.

Window of the World is a park with miniature versions of famous sites, including the Pyramids of Egypt along with the 1/3 size replica of the Eiffel Tower. You can take the elevators to the top and look out over Shenzhen on a clear day. It's a nice way to spend a few hours. There are shows in the amphitheater at night. It's a good diversion in a city that's typically lacking in natural attraction.

This is a great place and easy to get to (The Metro green line or various buses like 113, 103, etc.). It makes for a nice walking day, but it is always busy. Little to no good places to stop for coffee (there is a Starbucks across the street in Holiday Plaza). Good opportunities for photos too.
