The park is huge, so prepare your walking shoes. The entrance fee is quite steep - about 20 euro. The park itself is okay, but a bit disappointing: you would expect more. The buildings do not exactly match their original prototypes. Moreover, they do not seem to be well taken care of.

The park is definitely worth visiting if you are and Shenzhen and want to do something that is not shopping.

It was few years ago that i visited Window of the World but i still have a great souvenir as i spend the day there and saw in miniatures all the monuments from all over the world. I didn't know this kind of place existed and i had a great time with my gf which is now my wife. Best to get there early in the morning to have enough time to visit the all world in one day. I now have kids and i am planning to go there with them as it is one of the good place to go with kids and family

We have visited Windows of the World last year. Was an awesome experience, I just hoped we have stayed a little bit longer. The site was incredible having to put all the world's best in one area. The cultural show was great except for the fact that all were in Chinese language hope they could have an English show. The only thing I do not like about this place was their taxi drivers ...they are not tourist friendly... would even shout on you.

To be fair, the comparison is between the theme park with those available in my country. It is a place that worth a visit by anyone who is visiting Shenzhen, or somewhere nearby. Please don't ever try to travel a thousand kilometers just to visit the park.

With my family, I started our trip from Kowloon, Hong Kong to the theme park, and the whole trip took us around 2 hours. Be aware the MRT system at Shenzhen accept small value notes and coins only.

About the theme park, with the entrance fee of Renminbi 140 per person, it is cheap compared to the theme parks at HK. The theme park is divided into several areas, namely The World Square, The Area of Asia, The Area of Oceanic, The Area of Europe, The Area of Africa, The Area of America, The Sculpture Park, and The International Street. Among all the areas, we like The Area of Asia and the Area of Europe the most. The 4D cinema under the Fujiyama was the only free entertainment that available in the park. Others, extra fee were required. So, make sure that you don't miss the free 4D movie.

We shared our experience at the theme park in our blog- http://bettyandlingshing.blogspot.com/2012/07/shenzhen-window-of-world.html. During our visit, the humidity were really high. We got sweaty although the temperature was tolerable. So, extra clothes might be necessary for a sweaty person. The variety of food and beverages were limited. So, we need to bring our own drink and snacks to content our basic need. An umbrealla might be a good to protect us from heat and rain. Well, there were not many shelters provided in the park.

Last but not least, you-tiao and soya milk sold at the canteen on the left side of the park's entrance were good. We really enjoyed the food there twice, before entering, and after we came out from the park.

Decided to visit here again via a day trip from Hong kong (last visit was 11 years ago).

Entrance fee is 160 RMB p/p and train ride from Shenzhen border to W.o.W is 5 RMB each way. approximately 14 stops and about 30-35min travelling time.

Basically it look pretty much the same, just that the exhibits looks rather tired and dirty. Should do some maintainence and cleaning up. the theme park did not have many visitors, perhaps it was a weekday and is FREAKING HOT and sweaty in SEPTEMBER 2012. Please bring an umbrella, or visit this place when the weather is cooler.

The park is really huge so it will take you 4-5 hrs or more to cover everything in detail. Having seen more than half of the miniatures in real life, i would say it was rather fun to see a small scale version of it. Definitely educational for kids and adults too. You will be amazed by what's there in the world to see and all this was already available more than 10 yrs ago in W.o.W. wonderful concept!
