Brilliant insight into formidable carrier weapons developed by USSR at the height of "cold war".Quite entertaining as well as informative but not much to eat on board! Very reasonable fee to visit and not at all crowded in morning-relaxing. Easy and cheap taxi from downtown. Some more English(?) language explanation would be helpful to foreigners.

“a true waste of time”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

It's a cultural rape: the ship has been gutted to rearrange it with shops. There is no maintenance so everything is rusted. No explanation either: you have to guess the use of each room. It's basically a floating piece of trash, a true shame, only a brainless mind could have organized it and believe that people would be satisfied to pay 130rmb per head and leave with a smile!

“Crumbling Soviet Relic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2012

Rather sad sight if your Russian. The Minsk and various old MIG's and YAK's are in a very sad state of repair and the curator's have hacked around with the inner deck layout making it less interesting to the navy buffs - not quite sure why!

This is not like the HMS Belfast or the USS Missouri - but still quite an interesting day out never the less!

The location is abit inconvenient - but plenty of buses.

“Not worth the money”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012

As others have said it is a rust bucket and for the 130 yuan it is much more expensive than it is worth. It is commercialism at it worst as there are shops on every level we went to. We got lost trying to leave and ended up going right through the ship trying to find the way out. The loney plant guide has the wrong bus no it is the 205 that you need to catch from Shenzhen train station.

“too expensive for a ruin”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

if you have time to loose, you can go to watch it from outside.
dont get in, the price (130 yuan) is too expensive for what you can see in. atraction not working or poor, the 3 aircraft are in really bad conditions and the control room is horrible!
we were lucky that it didnt sink when we were inside...
