Owner description: This park, which is next to the China Folk Village, presents the country’s best cultural assets and landmarks (such as the Terra Cotta Warriors and the Great Wall) in miniature in one place. The experience is fascinating and gives the sensation of having seen China in a day.

“Spend most of your time in the Folk Culture Village”
Reviewed November 21, 2013

This park is connected to the Folk Culture Village, and admission is a package deal. I wasn't impressed with the miniature Chinese landmarks because most of them looked like model kits, many with broken pieces Some of the architecture was interesting, but in such small scale, you couldn't see detail. The terra cotta warriors were close to life size, and were the highlight of the park. There were also some small statues that were quite nice.
I think this park would mean much more to Chinese natives with a good understanding of history than to visitors. Each exhibit had a plaque with information, but without knowing the regions of China or the dynasties' time frames well, I couldn't make much sense of it.

“An average place to spend the afternoon ”
Reviewed November 10, 2013 via mobile

Splendid China consists of miniature models of all the famous architectures around China. Visiting it alone could be quite boring. Although they do have a auto played audio track at each of the model that explains the story behind the model.

There are tours that will take you around the place in an hour. But I feel it's better to take a walk if the weather permits.

“A great way to see China in a day”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

The park is so large in area and with so many mini attractions that this is a full day visit.
The detailing of the miniatures is fantastic. I took some pictures of the terracotta warriors that caused my friends to believe I had seen the real thing but I did admit to the trick.
This park is a geat window on China.
However, Beware of the beggars.

“Window to China”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

I liked the layout of the park and how well the flora and fauna had been maintained. the grounds are rather expansive and one would be well advised to take a "train" or horse drawn carriage to move around the pathways. The carriage, however is a little expensive. There is a traditional dance show in a courtyard theatre. and you can refresh yourself at stands nearby. History has been well preserved here.
