This park provides a pleasant break away from the traffic and buildings. We visited during Chinese New Year. It was extremely busy and I think possibly we were the only westerners there at that time (didn't see one other). Got plenty of stares but some friendly smiles. It was a family day out and you would get more from it outside of public holidays. Fun to see the number of kites flying and a great view of the city from the top of the hill. There are some impressive modern architectural buildings on the approach and the "book store" and shopping mall were also worth a visit. Again like most of Shenzhen the destination is easy to access from the underground system which is cheap (20-30 British pence for several stations). I would go back for a stress break when visiting Shenzhen.
