If you're after buying a watch, stay at this hotel - shops next to the hotel are Audemars, Jaeger, IWC, Panerai, Vacheron, etc. Convenient if that's what you're after.

The pool is TINY, appears to be 3 lanes, but it's tiny - my two year old could probably take up the whole pool with his inflatables.

Food was average, the cafe had a humongous selection of food, but like many things in China, quantity over quality.

Lobby is fine, to get to hotel rooms you transfer on level 3 which is the spa floor - a bit odd.

Speaking of a bit odd - the bathroom is SMACK in the middle of the room. You walk in, and you have to turn left or right to go around the bathroom. It's a bit odd frankly.

Restaurants are largely on the 30+ floors, so at the top of the hotel, i guess they are trying to be a bit like the Park Hyatt chain.

Normally I have alternative hotels to recommend but I don't normally stay in Shenzhen as I live in Hong Kong.

An excellent hotel, very large and spacious rooms. Half the room is the bedroom and the other half is the bathroom. The overhead shower is just a dream and relaxes you a lot.It is located centrally and all the luxury branded showrooms are in the vicinity. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food is excellent at all the hotels. My favorite was the outdoor temperature controlled swimming pool.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in China. The rooms were very large and beautifully decorated - the bathroom was unbelievable! While I only stayed for a few days, it was easy to find nearby restaurants and shopping. I had packages delivered in advance of my stay and had no trouble in getting them. Joe at the Concierge was especially helpful in locating a nearby pharmacy to get medicine for a sore throat. He translated my symptoms and all I had to do was hand it to the pharmacist. Extremely helpful when I wasn't feeling well. The bar on the top floor had amazing views of the night skyline (drink prices were comparable to hotel bars in NYC).

Room Tip: Ask for a corner suite - opposite of the nightclubs/bars that are in the back of the hotel.

Its my second time staying at this hotel and like all hyatts, it delivers top quality service of a high standard. The room interior was contemporary yet comfortable. The restaurants were the real attraction. The morning buffet spread at the Show Kitchen has a huge variety while the dinner buffet was equally sumptuous. The Italian restaurant La Tarazza has a lovely terrace outside which is great for a cup of coffee during spring time.To wind down after work, The bar at the top floor has a great vibe at night .

Stayed just one night here...the Hotel is a RMB20 ride from the Lowu Train Station.. we love the lounge, the view over No Mans Land leading into Hong Kong is a view rarely seen...(This is where the Gurkhas used to patrol to try and keep the refugees out during the Cultural Revolution...) great service from Wendy and Carolina in the lounge... the breakfast in the lounge is superb! 1881... their Chinese Restaurant is one of the best around... this is my third time eating there and every dish was delicious! 5 bottles of Red later.... and we were still able to hit the excellent Gym the next day. Its very well equipped... even down to the TRX! never seen one of them in a Hotel Gym before!... Great Pool as well if you have the time
We will be back!!!

I was staying on Floor 25, which is their club floor. Very convenient and the club is stunning. Perfect location if you wish to hang out with your favorite book, enjoy a hot tea or work a little bit. The rooms are nice and well maintained. Service is good and attentive. Just bear in mind that the level of English is not that high - but them being in China you simply can not ask for that. Staff is very helpful writing down every possible address in Chinese so that your taxi driver will know where to drop you.

Their Chinese restaurant is very popular. I have not been there this time but eaten dinner about one year back. Very nice food and loved the deco.

Breakfast which I had on the 33rd floor is just wonderful, views all over Shenzhen and even over the border into HK. The buffet is very broad and caters both to the Chinese and Western taste.

Room Tip: Try to be as high up as possible. This will just add to your views.

I'm in the process of moving to Shenzhen and wanted to stay in a known hotel chain. I've always loved Hyatt, and have always found that they have a high standard of customer service. The service that I have received in China, is probably the best experience that I have had in a Hyatt.

It does seem a little strange that the lobby is on the 33rd floor, but, there are people in the lobby who will guide you to the elevator, assist you with your luggage, and do anything to make your stay more pleasant.

The lobby staff and check-in is completely painless, as a hotel should be. If a lineup forms, they simply call in more staff to deal with it, so i was able to check in within 5 minutes.

The room is a little different. you walk into the bathroom section of the room, there's an enclosed toilet to your right, the sinks are to your left, as is the closet and safe, and dead center of the room is the shower. I thought perhaps a voyeur had designed the suite, but, if you close the doors on either side separating the shower from the bed, the privacy glass comes up, so you don't need to worry about another watching you shower. The shower itself is fantastic, they have the flexible hose shower that you can use, as well as a ceiling rainfall style of shower head. the shower stall itself is huge, and there's a full size bathtub in there as well.

The hotel supplies 4 bottles of water per day, or depending on what you use. if you want more, just call down and get more brought up. there is no tipping necessary in this hotel, or in china for that matter, so, don't worry about that.

room service is available 24 hours per day from the cantonese or american style of menu. you can have pretty much whatever you want, whenever you want, and it's not overly expensive. it's actually comparably priced with most of the american style of places in shenzhen. it's more expensive than at a food court, but it isn't out of this world either.

in the room, you also get free coffee supplied with a french drip, and 4 types of tea that are also free, with a kettle and teapot.

the hotel is located right next to the mix city mall. if you're looking for deals, you're probably going to want to go elsewhere, if you're looking for top of the line, name brand merchandise, this place has every name brand that i can think of, from Prada to Louis Vitton.

the metro is very close, it can be reached by walking up 2 blocks, or by going through mix city, into the metro. you can reach every portion of the city by metro, and it's very easy to get a pass, day pass, or one time pass. instructions are available in chinese or english. the metro shuts down early though, around 10:30 pm, so, make sure you have the hotel's business card to hand to the cab driver. regardless of what you read elsewhere in your research, cab drivers do not speak any english, and unless you speak cantonese or mandarin, you're never going to get to where you want to be. you can sometimes get away with saying "Mix city" or "coco park", but that's pretty much it. writing out the address in english will also get you nowhere, it has to be in simplified chinese characters.

using atms's in china is not as easy as you think that it should be. most banks do not support foreign atm cards. but, across the intersection from the hotel is a bank of china with 24 hour atms that work with every card that i tried.

there is a cafe in the square in the back of the hotel called the Sugar Box. It's owned by the hotel, so you can bill it to your room as well. it's a great place to grab a sandwhich, coffee, tea, whatever, and people watch.

there are a ton of restaurants and buffets available, cantonese, italian, sichuan, whatever you feel like.

I loved this hotel and will recommend it to my friends and family who come here to visit over the next couple of years.

Room Tip: Higher rooms are always better in China. i was on the 20th floor, didn't hear any traffic noise...
