Normally a guest of the Shangri-La Hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect during my stay at the Best Western Shenzhen Felicity Hotel. However, as I sit here in my room, on the day I'm due to check out, here's my feedback:
The location is great. Exit the train station and take one of the two pedestrian crossings to the left and walk towards the hotel. It's close to border shopping and a short taxi ride up to other shopping centers and malls.
Service was good. The front desk spoke English and were helpful with providing me business cards with the addresses, in Mandarin, to the locations I wanted to go to. The business card made it easy to get back to the hotel. Ordering room service - quick but a little overpriced considering the cost of food at nearby eateries.
The room was adequate. The usual amenities to include a TV and a Blue Ray Player, an assortment of toiletries and both robes and slippers to hang out in. The room is definitely not new but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. I can't comment on the cleaning staff as my stay was for only two nights and I refused cleaning for such a short stay.
Transportation is readily available. Taxi stand nearby and it's right next to the train station. Just know, it's walking distance to a lot of places for dining and shopping.More
