We stayed here twice, once in one of the smaller double rooms and then in a bigger one. Both times we found the rooms clean and comfortable. Definitely no frills but a kettle and good wifi. They provide paper cups but as we were traveling with our own mugs it wasn't a problem for us. No one at reception spoke English, but they were hapy to use their phones to communicate and we found them helpful. We didn't have breakfast, preferring to buy street food.
Location is great, we walked 5 minutes to catch taxis to the bus or train stations. A big night market is very close by. The hotel is tricky for taxis to get to because it is in a pedestrian area, the second time we stopped our taxi and walked the last 5 minutes. The pedestrian bridge across the Yellow River is also walking distance.

A good, clean workable hotel that is conveniently located. Rooms are a bit small for a 2 adults, 1 kid stay. There is breakfast available which is ok, not as bad as other reviews have stated (what do you expect anyway???). If you don’t like hotel breakfast, there are plenty of options available nearby.

For the price, this is a workable clean hotel.

Out last stop is Lanzhou before we flew back to Chengdu. We stayed at the Ibis at Zhangye Road.
Check- in speed was good. Room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure was excellent, house keeping was very good and the wifi was ok. Room rated was RMB500.
The biggest plus is the location. The Ibis is sited on the southern end of a pedestrian mall. Plenty of street food and restaurant. This is where you find the most famous La Mien beef noodle in Lanzhou MaZiLu "马子禄“. Lamb skewers and lamb soup are sold in many simple restaurant. Fabulous, brilliant and mouth watering experience. I will fly to Lanzhou just to eat these!
The Yellow River or Huanghe is only a few minutes walk. An early morning stroll along the banks of the Huanghe is truly a wonderful experience.
Will i come back? YESSSS.

This hotel was in a good location - in a pedestrian mall and just a short walk from the Yellow River. The rooms were plain and clean but had a bit of a tired look and a smoky smell, despite us booking a non-smoking room. It was fine for one night but I'd probably look elsewhere if you are staying longer. Staff didn't speak much English but we used an app to communicate. The buffet breakfast was a bit overpriced for China but we had it because it was convenient before our train departure next morning.

Great location. Easy walking to the Yellow River and right next to a pedestrian mall with many shops and restaurants close by. I arrived at the Lanzhou West Railway Station and left from the Lanzhou Railway Station. Both can take the 137 bus, a short 400m walk from the hotel (in opposite directions for each station). Check in and check out are typical of service in Chinese, unfriendly and don't acknowledge you. I am used to that now but it is disappointing from an international chain that better English is not spoken. My room was fine, okay size and bed comfortable, although construction was happening outside so a little noisy. There was hair in the bathroom and the walls of my room were dirty. It seems something had been thrown on the wall and was still stuck to it? Wifi is free but I had to specifically go back down to reception to ask for the passport. I have stayed in Ibis hotels many times, including in China. This is the most disappointing one I have stayed in.

Room tip: Try to get one not facing the construction
