not so crowed, but a nice place! take half day for this! don't go after the map, just after your instincts, it's a big and relax garden trip!

This is a relatively nice park, it covers a huge area so bring your walking shoes. Also at times certain areas are closed to the public so ask at the front gate if their is something you specifically want to see. There are some nice views that are worth the climb and optional cable cars going to Heaven-Earth Temple. If you at pressed for time I would recommend spending it near the Shangri-la areas as it has the most interesting things in a smaller area.

we spent two whole days just exploring the garden. on the second day we discovered a family of kingfishers in the bushes close to the big pond.
even on a rainy day it's a nice place to stroll and observe the landscapes, birds and visitors

Very pretty and quiet. Lots of climbing so wear comfy shoes. Large cactus area. Can be reached from Xiamen university on one side. Again lots of climbing to do that.

If you like botanical gardens, this one won't disappoint you. There are plants from all over the world and it's very well set out on acres of land with lakes and temples included. Choose a day when you can still walk but fell like a rest.
