We had such a fantastic stay here. It was the first time we had chosen to stay at a hospedaje and we were well taken care of. The owners were extremely helpful and really wanted to get to know us. They and their sons joined us for dinner every night, one of those nights being a pizza party with everyone staying there. The amenities were basic, but honestly we didnt care because we had such a good time chatting to the owner and learning about the town. Cant say enough good things about this place!!

I stayed here with my wife and another couple in March 2013. The friend who picked it did so because she heard the breakfasts were better than normal. While I appreciate the fact that they bake their own bread and served crepes one morning, other than that it is pretty much the same as most other places. What I did like was the friendly, knowledgeable owners, and the comfy beds with European style duvets (down comforters). They speak at least three languages that I am aware of (English, Spanish, German), which comes in handy. The best part of staying there for me was having conversations with co-owner Sebastian, originally from Germany, but living in Chile for ten or so years, where he spent much of that time guiding in the park.

A very cozy place with extremely friendly and helpful staff who will give you great hints regarding restaurants, etc. and can organise all the day trips to the penguins, etc. The included breakfast is good and the WiFi quite fast. Only downside is that it can get really cold during night times (heaters are not in the rooms, but in the corridors).

As part of Conservation Volunteers International Program (conservationvip.org), Hospedaje Magallanes provided excellent value, especially clean facilities, and a warm and personal touch for the first few days of our trip. We were met with friendly smiles, a comfortable room, and tasty breakfast every morning. Not only offering wise advice for restaurants and shopping in the area, the hosts cheerfully provided transportation, language translation, and storage for tools required for trail maintenance in Torres del Paine. Going the extra mile, Sebastian waited outside for one of our volunteers who arrived late (approx. 1 a.m.!) to ensure her safe reception and even offered her a single room at no add'l expense to avoid waking guests, allowing her to feel comfortable settling in at such a late hour. Their knowledge of the area and special attention to the details of every guest make this a first-rate choice! We'll be sure to return again!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Marisol and Sebastian offer so much to their guests, multiple languages and a desire to make sure you truly experience all in the region. Not only excellent local knowledge but also very helpful with info on Puerto Natales, Chile. Marisol was great at booking bus travel and kayaking in the Strait of Magellan, provided a clothesline in the back to dry clothes, kitchen was great for meal preparation and communal feel of the setting encouraged interaction with fellow guests. Really enjoyed our fellow travelers and sharing travel experiences while picking up tips on treks and adventures. Location is easy walk from bus station, close to a grocery store/ATM, a couple of blocks from the main street with eateries within minutes. Comfortable bed, clean and roomy and very accommodating when I requested a hairdryer! You will get so much more when staying here than a place to sleep. We stayed twice within a week during our travels and weren't disappointed.

This B&B has a hostel but also home feeling. The owners are both really helpful and full of information.
They take the time to share their experience. Their help is beyond.

The breakfast is served by a really happy chief and it is really enjoyable to start your day this way.

We had the chance to have a BBQ with all the then-travellers and owners the day we left.

Thank you so much Sebastian and Marisol for this experience

This place has a hostel feel, not one of the many places where you feel like you're staying in a spare room. On the upside this meant we felt very comfortable sitting in the very nicely kept common room during the day, chatting to others (mostly Germans staying here) and helping ourselves to stuff in the kitchen. On the downside, the walls are extremely thin and if you're banking on sleep at 11pm before a big walk, you may not be too happy. Most people did keep their voices down but when the wine & beer flow freely, that's not always easy. I did like the place but some sort of sound insulation would make it awesome. It also has to be said that a twin room at 32000 with shared bathroom is at the upper end of what I'm prepared to pay for the rooms.
