“A welcoming and comfortable haven in Puerto Natales”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

The staff at Isla Morena are welcoming, informative and attentive. My room, with bathroom, was warm and the bed a pleasure to sink into after exploring Torres del Paine. It is close to the main square and lots of good places to eat.
The rooms are not totally soundproof (nor were they in an expensive hotel friends stayed in). Take earplugs if a sensitive sleeper and all will be fine.

Great shower with hot water all the time.

It may not be open in winter. This year it closes down at the end of March.

Excellent value.

It was an absolute delight to stay at this hostel. Our first impression was that the rooms were a little tired, but in fact we had a great experience at a great price of US$68 per night. Conveniently located close to the main square our room was large, spotlessly clean and complete with wardrobe & chest of drawers to put our clothes. Big comfortable bed. Our private bathroom had a shower which was hot & strong. Towels were changed every day. Excellent free wi-fi coverage throughout. Breakfast was fine and eating times were adjusted to suit our tour times. There is a library of DVD's and books available for use by the guests. What made it really fantastic was the owner Susana who was one of the nicest hoteliers we have ever come across. She really cared that we were OK and went out of her way to help us in every way that she could including booking our tours. Highly recommended.

We arrived late after trekking and Susana was there with a welcome smile. Our private room was more like a hotel than a hostel and a shame that we were only there for one night. We were leaving early the next day and Susana had a breakfast ready for us at 6 am! If we're ever in Puerto Natales again, we'll make sure to stay longer!

Isla Morena was by far the best place we stayed at during our trip in Chile. Susannah, the owner, is VERY welcoming and makes you feel at home. The hotel is very clean, warm and comfortable. Wifi is accessible and there is a library of books and DVDs for people to use. Susannah arranged all our tours (Day tour to Torres del Paine and Perito Moreno) and even got up early to ensure we could have breakfast before the pick-up. The breakfast is nice – yogurt, bread, jam, butter, granola. Location is very convenient, right behind the main square and a 10-minute walk to the Unimarc grocery store. During the high season, there are musicians playing music in the common area at night. Would definitely recommend Isla Morena to anyone visiting Puerto Natales

This lovely B&B was definitely our best lodging during a 3 week trip in Chile and Argentina. It is a good location: a block from the central plaza. Delightful manager (Susanna) is very friendly and personable and offers unlimited help in planning, etc. She even prepared a traditional Chilean "onces" for us one afternoon.
Rooms and baths are nice. Comfy common area/breakfast room, plus a library Free internet and wifi. Free storage of luggage while we hiked several days in Torres del Paine.

Room Tip: The family room on the second floor has LOTS of space; will sleep four and has a table and chairs f...

This place is simply perfect. Susana, the hostess, is a super friendy, nice and helpfull person. She helped us a lot with the organization of our trips to Torres Del Paine and to El Calafate/El Chaltén. She was very flexible as well. We finished the Torres Del Paine circuit ahead of scheduled and we could easily change our reservations. We found very clean bedrooms, good breakfast and a perfect laundry service. The position is great with several good restaurants in the neighborhood.

The place was very clean, the beds were comfy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Susana was very attentive. I was not feeling well and she brought me tea. They loaned us a hair dryer and the electricity in the town went out for a few minutes and she was right there with emergency candles. The breakfast was good and the place had interesting decor. They even had a piano that I got to play. Very good experience.

Room Tip: The shower doors were hard to close and were a little small, but not too bad. But the rest was supe...
