I was looking forward to stay in this hotel as its one of my highlights for Chile trip. There is no doubt that the hotel was very beautiful with an excellent view. However, the staff was NOT helpful at all. I paid 220 US dollars per night to stay here and by the time we arrived at the hotel there was no staff at the reception. We called and had to wait about 30 minutes before a woman showed up and checked us in and of course not even an apology for leaving her guests waiting.

There was NO one to carry our luggage and it was quite tricky because we had to walk down the steps and quite a long walk before we got to the room. I told the staff that I just had a back surgery a year ago and couldn't lift anything heavy. Again she didn't offer to help and told me that when we check out one of the staff would help. I think that was extremely rude and not kind of a service I expected from Altiplanico.

The most irritating thing about this hotel is how rude the staff are. They never acknowledged your presence and always went back to the room behind reception desk and enjoyed themselves.

The following morning we had early breakfast as we planned to go on a bus trip to Torres Del Paine. There was no fork and spoon and we had to call a different woman who took care of breakfast and asked for cutlery set. They gave it to us as if it was our fault to ask. The funny thing is when we checked out, we still had to carry our own luggage again. I of course couldn't do it but had to ask my friend to help. I really feel bad about this hotel.

If you stay here because you think the view is nice (like I did), you better stay somewhere else because you will get the same beautiful view plus helpful staff anywhere else in Puerto Natales. The other bad thing is it's located about 10 minutes by taxi out of town and about 30 minutes walk into town. We did it :-)

Room Tip: The rooms are all beautiful but you will get unfriendly staff to take care of your entire stay.

There are many pluses for this hotel
1) Friendly staff
2) Good restaurant
3) Warm bathroom floor
4) Clean rooms
5) Nice view

The only problem is that the shower is a bit dark.

This hotel is sadly let down by unfriendly staff and a bad restaurant. The staff were for the most part unprofessional and unhelpful. We (of course!) had many questions about tour options and activities in the area, and they were answered reluctantly, as if it was strange to be asking in the first place.

There were no log burners in the main communal areas, which would have helped the 'ambiance' greatly. And the restaurant had only two choices of food per night, which were consistently of poor quality. One night the meat verged on inedible.

The views were lovely however and so were the rooms. The two hot tubs were great, with excellent views. It's a shame a would- be nice hotel is so let down by bad food and bad staff. Stay at the Remota next door.

It is a very nice place for pretty evenings after long-day tours. The reseption is nice, as well as bar staff. The room was excellent countryside style. Unforgettable views! Must stay!

We spent two nights here on the way in/out of Torres del Paine. The hotel is built into the hillside overlooking the sound about 30 minutes walk from the town.
The staff was very helpful.
The rooms were large and clean and the resturant was very good.
Wifi is available only in the lobby area and it get very hot in the evening in the dining room as the sun sets but the views are incredible.
Just be careful getting on an off the bed (the base is concrete - could hurt your legs)
