Indigo Hotel & spa was one of those place where you can enjoy a wonderful view, a special interior architecture and a friendly staff. Is located near the lake, the rooms are all wood and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was original, but watch out if you are not a tall person: wash your teeth in that high sink could be a little difficult. The spa in the superior floor was beautiful and clean, but careful with the exterior pools, Puerto Natales is a very windy city. Like a lot of kind of ecological places, there is no TV in the room and smoking is not allowed in the entire hotel. (Well, would be a shame to spend your time smoking and watching TV in such a beautiful town in the end of the world).
Given that travelling around the Patagonia is an expensive experience, I considered the hotel not overpriced, but yes, you could find good places at lower prices around. I recommend this hotel specially for a romantic getaway, a cozy stop if you are hiking and walking a lot around.

After two months travelling around in South America my husband and I arrived at this beautiful hotel in Puerto Natales. We were surprised with the architecture of the building, with an impressive wool wall in the middle of it creating an interesting space distribution. The decoration was amazing too. I specially loved the rugs and fireplace at the spa with overwhelming views over the Fjord of Last Hope. A great entrance to the Torres del Paine park and a perfect place to stay after the W treck!

We used Indigo Hotel and spa as a base to visit Torres del Paine and Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina (both day trips--it was worth the drive to Argentina to see the Glacier).

We arranged our tours and transport thru the hotel, and it was fairly easy. There was an issue with the price being increased, but they adjusted it when I showed the voucher.

The hotel has a very cool design, and seems out of place for Puerto Natales. We decided to stay in the Indigo Suite after seeing the pictures on the website. The big bathtub looking out the window was too tempting to pass up. After seeing the size of the regular rooms, I'm glad we had the suite. The good was the modern hotel design, the comfortable bed, and great views.

Some of the things were annoying (esp at around $300/night). The soaps and shampoos came in big jugs, but there was nowhere to keep them close but on the floor or a ledge outside the shower, and they were awkward to use. The lock box was not easy to use, and was side mounted, so everything would fall out. These are picky things, but at this price, you don't expect things to be this way. You are in Puerto Natales, not in Torres del Paine.

I guess I would say that I'm glad I experienced the hotel, but I'm not so sure I would stay there again because I didn't think it had great value. I would probably pick a less expensive alternative and stay in El Cafalate, Argentina for one night (it had more going on than Pto Natales).

Room ok - had a suite with a nice bathtub. However, the room and the entire hotel was totally exposed. I could wave at cars as they drove by on the street outside from inside the tub - not ideal.

spa was a joke. Outdoor pools way too cold for the outside temp. Also spa understaffed with used towels everywhere. No steam or sauna.

Staff was terrible. Unhappy and uninterested in service. Many with the attitude that they were too cool to be responding to simple questions, etc.. Same for bar and breakfast.

Wireless internet did not work.

Glad we only stayed 1 night on the way to the park.

In general, it is a much better idea to stay at a place in the park if visiting the area for torres del paine. Puerta natales does not have much to offer unless you are a single 20ish outdoors type backpacking the area.

However, there is a great restaurant in town that specializes in bbq lamb. Forgot the name but hard to miss b/c only a few dinning options.

Also, we were going to get a few hiking supplies before entering the park and found the options, size selection, and pricing in town poor.

We stayed at the end of our trip to Torres del Paine. The room was trendy, with a comfortable bed, and great views. The bathroom area was attached directly to the room, with only the toilet seperated by a door. This made the room slightly cramped. The restaurant served excellent food, probably one of the best steaks my wife and I have ever had. The Spa, which after the hike initially attracted us to the hotel was nice but also small. We fortunately had it all to ourselves, but heard from other guests that with a group it also gets cramped. The views from the outdoor hot-tubs are spectacular and the massage was very good. The service in the hotel was spotty, there seem to be a lot of staff, yet it was not quite clear who does what. Also there always seemed to be someone from the staff using one of the guest computers. Overall it was a nice experience yet with the cramped room and spa, at USD300/night overpriced. If the hotel was priced closer to USD 150-200, it would rank as the best option in Puerto Natales.

Booked two nights here for R&R after camping in Torres del Paine. The hotel is really nice and the location is great. It was very expensive, but we wanted a little splurge.
Unfortunately, the staff made a mistake and only booked us for one night, which we were disappointed about, but they made it up to us by giving us the one night for free and booking us in another extremely nice hotel just outside town and providing car service for us. They more than made up for their mistake by actually saving us money and making sure we were comfortably provided for.

I stayed in Indigo last january with my family and friends. We found it really overpriced. Rooms are beautiful, the hotel has a beautiful design, taht's it. The spa has a nice view, but is small. Service is bad and not friendly (except for a girl who works in the guests activities planning area). We had to call housekeeping to ask for things that were supposed to be replaced. Breakfast finishes about 10 am and if you are late there is no other option in the hotel, because the bar opens only at 11:00h, so you have to go to other place to eat if you want something between 10 and 11am. The restaurant is ok, nothing more than this. Location is great if you intend to be in the city, near the small stores and to the sea, but for those who want to go to the park I would suggest to stay there, or even closer, instead.
