Definitely a remote, spectacular and singular place to visit. The architecture is unique, modern, dared. The service is not Virtuoso at all, it lacks detailed attention overall (the shop is always closed, and if you need something from town they would not bring it). Food is good, spa is average. Good wine list.

Hellow

Thank you for your comments.

We are glad that you enjoyed the architecture.
The shop is always available to the passengers, you just have to ask in reception and they let you in.
So good you liked the food and our wine list.

All your other comments are very good to us to improve the service.

Regards
Remota Staff

The Remota is a starkly beautiful hotel, no excessive furnishings but everything was complete; no extras were needed nor wanted. In addition to the aesthetics of the hotel, the food and the amenities were excellent.

Room Tip: Every room is excellent and every view is good. Rooms are on only one side of the corridor. No noise. Peaceful beyond belief.

As you arrive at this hotel you are immediately puzzled by the unusual architecture but do not be put off. The rooms are very comfortable the food is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a bit of a trek from the town but taxis are cheap. I cannot praise the staff enough. My wife was taken seriously ill as we arrived with bronchial pneumonia and the staff just could not be more helpful.

Cher Monsieur Camboly,

After a terribly long trip from Santiago, twelve hours later we were dropped off at the hotel a bit outside of the Puerto Natales pueblo. The rooms were really nice, quiet. A respectful and friendly staff, a great pool and hot tub-when the water was sufficiently heated. Be sure to mention this just in case it happens. Only one of our five nights this actually did. The chef is amazing. Breakfast is good, eggs were better when you asked for an omelette or other preparations directly from the kitchen. I suggest either buying a package with a tour agency, or renting a car. Do not count on the reception to help you make plans. As sweet as they were, perhaps it was seasonal help, they didn't know much about the Zone.
Mickey, the waiter, is awesome. He knows what to suggest. The only plate I wasn't crazy about was the merluza (fish), but only because I don't care for this particular fish. Enjoy... I read another review mentioning there was no hot water? Not our experience. Rental cars are difficult to get, so plan ahead. Kawascar was the business we got lucky with. Kathryn and her husband rent, and they have three cars in great condition Toyota RAV: +56 9 8350 1072. To sure if she speaks English. She take the car directly to you.

Recommend the hotel!

Room Tip: I'm pretty sure they all have a good view. Our room did, and was nearest to the back exit which leads to the pool.

Dear Laurosorio

Thank you for your comments!

We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay at the hotel.

The architecture is part of the concept of German del Sol, he built the hotel thinking in a shearing sheds a typical building of patagonia, which allows to have beautiful views of mountain and the sea and very comfortable and spacious rooms.

Our chef is part of our staff since 11 years ago, he knows very well how to delight the passengers with their preparations, and Mickey is an excellent collaborator always worried that of the optimal attention of the restaurant.

We have all inclusive programmes SOFT and ADVENTURE these include all excursions, We are not tour operators therefore we can not sell only excursions, when a client need this service we always recommend local operators.

If you decide to come back to Remota you must book all inclusive programme!!!
We will be waiting for you.

Regards
Remota Staff

We had 3 days left in Patagonia and moved to Remota from another hotel. We had booked Remota based in part on the wide range of excursions on its website. We arrived to discover that no excursions were available (not just not included in the half board price - which we knew - but actually not available at all) and we were directed into town to see what we could find. (This was completely the opposite of the hotel we had just stayed in where we paid for excursions on top of our half board rate with no issues). It was already Saturday afternoon so this was a problem. The staff were not very helpful. The room was very clean but bare and rustic (nothing more than a wooden box to sit on to look at the spectacular view) with paper thin walls - very uncomfortable and, frankly, felt like a cabin in a camping ground. For the rate, I was extremely disappointed. On the positive side, the restaurant food was fantastic and restaurant staff were great. Given how far we travelled to see Patagonia, this was a big rip off and they need to make it clear that excursions are only available if you book a package including them.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same

Dear KT

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments.

We apologize for the inconvenience during your stay.

Indeed we have a wide range of excursions with activities inside and outside Torres del Paine, all the logistics of these excursions is operated by us, we have our own vehicles, guides and routes. However these tours are part of our all inclusive programs SOFT - ADVENTURE AND FLY FISHING, you reserve with us half board and that rate does not indicate that it includes excursions, we are very sorry if this information was not clear for you.

Thank you for your comments about our room, which we will take into account in order to improve.

Finally we are glad that you enjoyed the food and the restaurant service.

We hope that if you return to Patagonia you will stay in Remota again and take one of our all inclusive programs that way you can take the excursions with us.

Atte
