“A place to visit”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Our family stayed there for about a week and loved every minute of our stay. The hotel is extraordinary and a wonderful transformation of an historic building. The food, wines and particularly the staff, all added to our enjoyment. The rooms are on normal hotel standard large, very comfortable and have wonderful views of the fiord.
If you get the chance, don't hesitate to stay at the Singular, you will not regret it.

Room Tip: Not needed they are all good

The Singular is amazing in every aspect.
The locate are perfect. The rooms were spectacular, so confortable and with a huge windowsand with a awesome views. Bathrooms equally stunning and large. It´s an overall experience.
The guides, like all of the staff, are very knowledgable and freindly.
The restaurant is absolutely great and the menu are planed by a great Chef, Ernan, that brings to the main menu characteristic and ingredients of the region so that they are tasted by the guests.
Thanks for everyone for the wonderfull time that I spent over there.

My wife and stayed here for four nights and expected it to be the highlight of out Patagonia holiday. I would only recommend a short stay to experience the great architectural wonder the hotel offers and it's great restaurant.
The location is good for activities in the Puerto Natales area however it is a long way fro Torres Del Paine park. You will spent nearly 5 hours of your day driving to and from the park.
The activities are only done when they have enough people so it may mean you cannot do the activity you would like .
The rooms are excellent. The restaurant menu, staff and food quality was excellent.
The excursions attract a 19% tax which we didn't know about, our $360USD boat trip actually cost $428USD. The boat broke down early on the trip so we were not able to do the complete trip. The staff managed it very well however the day was incomplete and we arrived back 2 to 3 hours late. No apology from the hotel.
We booked transport from the hotel to Punta Arenas. We wanted to continue the Singular experience and have a stress free journey to the airport. At $400 USD the transfer is expensive.
The hotel arranged a pick up time for us of 7 am and also kindly organised an early breakfast for us. After breakfast we went out to find no transport. The hotel forgot to book it. We were promised a discount however it was not given. Why promise it and then say no, we are not discounting it?
We left 40 mins late after much scrambling and just made our flight, thanks to our driver who was great.
Not a seamless experience as we expected. The hotel is very expensive, we expected more.

Room Tip: All rooms offer a great view.

Wow - this hotel is just a delight. Simply spectacular architecturally, with a fascinating history. Our stay was all inclusive, and worth every penny. Discreet yet very friendly service, great guides (Pedro and Mikhail were champions), excellent expeditions and trekking (El Sendero de las Aguas in Torres del Paine a highlight), seriously good food (the breakfast buffet and the tapas at Pisco Sour time are something to behold!), gorgeous rooms with the world's most comfortable beds and uber-luxury bathrooms, and a beautiful spa area with an indoor/outdoor pool ... the outdoor bit means you have a swan's-eye view of the lake and the mountains, and you can say you've swum in Patagonia! Adventure and the great outdoors during the day, luxury and seven-star treatment at night. A perfect combo. I tried to hide when it was time to leave, but they found me.

The Singular is amazing in every aspect. We traveled to The Singular with 6 family members, ages 5 to 75 and everyone had an absolutely spectacular time. The guides were very knowledgable and accommodative to the needs / physical abilities of the entire family. The restaurant was great and the menu representative of the region. Kudos to the Chef for putting together an incredible food program. Overall, one of the best vacations we've ever taken as a family and one of the better hotels in the world.

The Singular Patagonia was a wonderful place to stay for our visit to the Parque. We were actually expecting the hotel to be farther away from the town of Puerto Natales, and we were pleasantly surprised by how close it really was. We rented a car in Punta Arenas and drove about 2 1/2 hours to the Singular, and were very happy to have a car for our trip there. We only paid for the rooms and did not get the full or half board, but the room price still included an amazing breakfast every morning. We were there four nights and ended up eating in the hotel the first and last nights, but went into town the other nights for a little variation. In town we had a wonderful dinner at Afrigonia one night and went to the Brewery the other night after a long day in the Parque. While at the Singular we also did two excursions and just paid for them out of pocket. If you are independent and have a car, I would recommend just driving though to and around the Parque on your own the first day. They have a guided bus tour there, but they showed us the route it takes and we did the trip alone and at our own speed - highly recommended. We did take a half day boat trip to the glaciers which was amazing! A definite must for your stay. We also did the hotel's hike to the base of the Towers in the Parque on our last day, which had a difficult rating. The hike was challenging at times, but so worth it for the views at the end. Our guide also brought a canteen of warm soup and great sandwiches for our lunch at the top. I wish we could have stayed another day and done the hotel's other hike into the Parque, too! Overall, our stay was wonderful, but the hotel is very quiet. If you are looking for any night life or different food, I would recommend renting a car and heading to Puerto Natales at night. All in all, a great trip and the Singular staff is incredible!

Room Tip: Higher floors probably have a better view of the lake. We were on the ground floor, though, and stil...

As you mention, The Singular Patagonia has 3 types of fee, B&B, Half board and Full board, all designed for different tastes and needs of our guest.
Being so close to town, just 5 minutes by car, you can meet and enjoy attractions that the town has, like restaurant, centenary buildings, museum etc, we expect see you back soon, so you can continue enjoying this patagonia on make that hike even stay pending.

We spent one night at Singular after 4 days at Hotel Salto Chico/Explora and 3 days at Remota. Singular is really interesting architecturally as they have converted a massive sheep processing plant into a modern, stylish hotel. The rooms were spectacular, huge windows w/ great views, bathrooms equally stunning and large. That said, our overall experience was fine but nothing special. It is sort of an impersonal place given cavernous scale. It is literally a museum and hotel at same time. Very unique, but my family found it to be a little creepy as you consider the millions of sheep slaughtered there. Service was friendly but we weren't impressed when they told us it would be $1,000 to drive us all to Punta Arenas ($200 per person). When I complained and told them we paid $300 to a hotel across the street, they then came back w/ a reduced rate of $600. We found our own transport for much less. Bar/restaurant was also long on style, short on substance. Not one of us finished their dinner. Portions were large but food was pretty mediocre. Service at bar and restaurant was quite friendly. Next morning we wanted to get up and use pool, but it didn't open until 10am and when we asked if we could use it earlier were told no. So overall, while a physically impressive place, we found it too big and impersonal. Based on our experience, would recommend the smaller Remota across street, nicer pool, more relaxed, more intimate size, better food, and closer to Puerto Natales. Also, to be fair, must admit that after Explora which has best location on the planet, any hotel would have been a tough compare.
