“Nothing spectacular”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2013

After having visited "Torres del Paine" it was only mediocre. Nothing really spectacular. During the boat trip, there is nothing around, which could be described as "stunning scenery" (compared to torres del paine). And you can not get very close to the glacier it self. On top It was also really expensiv!

“Beautiful but small”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2013

After visiting the Glaciar Perito Moreno, it is difficult to find another one like it. but the tour we took to visit it was nice, though you stay a long time in the boat... the lunch they offered in a nice cottage house was very delicious.

“beautiful glacier!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

We saw both the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers at the end of our kayak tour down the Serrano river. You can really see the effects of climate change when you are at the Serrano glacier as you can see how much it has receded up the rockface! Sad really. The Balmaceda glacier was beautiful. A hanging glacier coming down into an iceberg filled lake. After kayaking around the lake we hopped on board the boat that takes you back to Natales, which was comfy and stopped at a little place where they had a big, scrumptious lunch.

“Amazing glaciars without crowds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 8, 2013

Visiting these glaciars is a great oportunity to see the wonderful landscapes in this region and enjoy them without crowds. It is also a very good option to enter or leave Torres del Paine national park along the Rio Serrano which is an amazing river. In the middle you have another good option to do a horseriding trip to see even more remote Glaciars Geikie and Tyndall. If you don´t mind the money, these are great attractions to visit in remote areas.

“Quite a nice glacier!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2012

Took the 21 de Mayo tour (rather than Avansa due to availability). One of the best parts of this trip was meeting the other travelers going to see the glacier. The glacier was a bit remote, the hike was a bit wet, but the guide was good and the lunch was delicious (if a bit late in the day so bring snacks. Pretty pricey though.. For the money, if I could only do one glacier in Patagonia, I would recommend Perito Moreno.
