Hey, i've been to the Be-Bop a couple of times already, and have not really been impressed. The lights & the vibe are great, but the drinks are terrible. I had the worst mojito of my life in there (way too much liquor & mint leaves, not enough sweet taste), i almost threw up at the intensity of alcohol in it (mind you i'm an alcohol drinker). I had something that looked like a bloody mary but it was just as terrible. Overall i would say you should go and see for yourselves, might feel different about it :)

Returning to Douala after two years, my expectations were quite low. Not only are there amazing new places for the night life, but these places are all unique in their own way. Be Bop Bar was one that immediately caught my attention and I became a regular - partly also because I live close by. The atmosphere is chill, music is on point (smooth jazz) and the service is amazing (not typical in Douala). I had this concoction of some fruity juice with some alcohol - it was phenomenal. Something I've never had. They are extremely creative with their cocktails and it's quite good!
The neighborhood can be a little unsafe so I suggest going there only if you have a car or someone to pick you up - a norm now in Dla now to have on call cabs.
Overall, amazing experience and a go-to place if visiting Dla!
