“Luxury in Siem Reap”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

Tara Angkor is a great hotel on the road to Angkor Wat. The restaurant and cocktail lounge were very good. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Staff was very helpful. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. A bit far from city center and so the opportunity to try local resaturants was limited.

Tara might not be one of those big hotels but the staffs definitely made our stay here enjoyable. Exceeded our expectations and it was a comfortable stay. Would recommend those who are hesitating to book this place!

Absolutely LOVED this place. Everyone was so attentive and willing to please. Upon arrival you are greeted with a cool and refreshing lemon grass tea and cold washcloth. Feels great in the heat. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. You can walk into town if you are a walker or take a tuk tuk for $3. Would definitively stay here again.

Have to agree with previous comments. This hotel was such a lovely surprise. Stylish comfortable, spacious. Lovely pool and outdoor area, very pleasant and helpful staff. Highly recommend it. Distance from town not a problem. Tuk Tuks easily available and if one not present the doorman will get one immediately. Most all of the hotels in Siem Reap are a tuk tuk ride from the centre anyway. Only criticism was the spa treatments were expensive. You can get much better value in the town centre.

The hotel is half way between Siam Reap and Angkor and works for both; being out of town it is quiet. The one caveat is the lack of gardens or green sitting out space, otherwise a great base for exploring Angkor. The staff are extremely attentive without being intrusive and want to do their best for you - with a smile. Nice rooms. Excellent spa with first class massage, tasty regional menu in restaurant and a serviceable gym - swimming pool too. Would certainly go back.

Very clean, well kept rooms. Good pool, which we desperately needed in the heat, after spending a whole day at Angkor Wat. Breakfast was also very good, you can either sit in or outside.
Would stay there again next trip.

We stayed for 3 nights. It proved to be the best hotel we stayed in in our 2 week trip to Indo china. Room was great, as was breakfast, as was the pool area. The staff were fine and the location was a quick tuc tuc to either town or ancient sites. Could have stayed there longer than 3 nights . Would recommend.
