“Comfortable, clean and great stay for a group of 4”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We booked the Family Room for a group of 4 people. The beds and toilet were clean with all the basic amenities provided. We had 1 queen size bed, two single beds, and these suited us fine. We even opted to go with the trip arranged by the guesthouse as we didn't book any local tour beforehand. We had a fantastic tuk-tuk driver called Mau. He was patient and waited for us while we took our time to explore all the temples. On the last day, we decided to cycle to Angkor Wat and rented bicycles from the guesthouse, and it turned out it was free for customers. *thumbs up* And the place is near to Night Market and Pub Street, just a short walking distance away. All in all, I enjoyed my stay there, and we definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a clean and nice guesthouse in Siem Reap.

Room Tip: If you're travelling with a big group of friends, I'd recommend not to fit all in one room...

Highly recommended..... Polite staff, good locatio (walking distance to night market, old market & pub street), big rooms yet very affordable). Excellent service. Tour prices are cheap as well with polite and professional driver SOK CHANCE and kind manager Mr. Lao.

We loved this hotel. It had a lovely welcoming feel to it. The staff were as always in Cambodia brilliant. So welcoming and friendly.
On first day of arrival one of our rooms were not ready as they were having trouble unblocking the toilet. No problem gave us a family room and another room and the next day ours was available.
We found the food at restaurant to be great and guesthouse was only a short walk to pub street) which we never did!! Always too hot and the $1.00 tuk tuk drive so easy. The artisans workshop and gift shop is only around the corner.
Loved the pool and this guesthouse and for what we paid a bargain. Would so love to come back again.
Ah I wish I had my cocktail and was sitting by the pool.
We miss Cambodia

Room Tip: Go or the VIP rooms if possible overlooking the pool with a balcony.

Met by a great tuk-tuk driver at the airport - hotel is down a safe dirt road just off (2-3 short blocks) from the main restaurant and bar/market area of Sien Reap. Good A/C, fairly quiet (for Siem Reap).

Breakfast just fine, nothing fancy but fruit was fresh and clean, as were the rooms.
Hotel has all the tour capabilities - hooked us up with a great guide to the temples (we heartily recommend Chhon Chhay if you let the hotel know ahead of time. He is a gem!

Spent four days with Chhon and the driver (Mr. Suy) and could have doubled that - 5 days is hardly enough! They took us to great lunch spots and made sure all was safe (cooler of ice and bottled water in the tuk-tuk!) and great fun!

Went off to Battambang for a few days and the driver met us at the Bus Staion when we got back.

Staff were pleasant and gave a warm welcome - pool is small but functional. A great family hotel.

We will stay here when we go back to tour some more. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Room Tip: Higher you go up the stairs is a longer walk but a better view, quieter and somewhat breezier (a goo...

I got good feedback of this guesthouse from tripadvisor and hence booked a family room for two nights. Prior to the stay,i corresponded with the manager about the details of flight as free pick up was provided. I also sought for some advices about transport to get around as well as to get to our next destination. The manager is very efficient and prompt to respond with useful info. He also arranged tuk tuk for us to go around angkor complex. he helped buy bus tickets from siem reap to phnom penh as well as form phnom pehn to HCMC.
We arrived around 9am in the morning and we could check into our room early. All staff here is very friendly and helpful. The room was large though floor was dusty and air con had to be turned on for few hrs before the room got cold. Complimentary fruits were served. Swimming pool was impressive. Wifi was fast. The location is strategic as we walked to artisan angkor, pub street, noon and night market without hving had to take tuk tuk.

We stayed for 4 nights during our trip in SE Asia. We had a great time. Our rooms were spacious with good showers. Pool was very nice, and the breakfast option were fine. Location is great, very close to the noghtmarket, pubstreet is just a few minutes away and just around the corner are some really nice restaurants.
We visited Angkor with an Tuktuk driver related to the hotel. He took really good care of us, and made our stay in Siem Reap even more pleasant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tanei Guesthouse and it definitely stood out as the best and friendliest accommodation out of the places we stayed in Cambodia.

We were greeted with fruit juice and cold refreshing towels which was lovely after a long day of travelling. It is a family run business which adds a homely feel to the guesthouse.

Our room was spotless and beautiful with a very high ceiling! Also had a TV, hot shower, free drinking water given daily and a fridge/mini bar. There is also a pool which is a bonus in Cambodia!

The food at the restaurant was a particular highlight as it was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! The breakfast menu was also very good.

Would highly recommend to anyone planning on visiting Siem Reap!
