This guesthouse has good fan or aircon rooms, which are clean and have clean bathrooms with a good shower. All rooms have wifi access. There's cctv in the hallways and always a night guard and night receptionist present. The staff are very polite, skilled English speaking, and nice people. There is a free swimming pool, decent restaurant and a computer you can use.
They can arrange trips te Angkor for you, as well as bus tickets, at very reasonable prices. Our tuktuk driver for three consecutive days was a very good guy called Ni (pronounced as knee) who drove safe and responsible. Ask for him if you need a ride!
All things considered this guesthouse is a bargain. A little more expensive than a true budget hotel but you get so much value for your money. Breakfast is included. Very highly recommended!

We were looking for a hotel with reasonable price and a swimming pool. The Tanei guesthouse matched perfectly our criteria! The price was really good (we compared with other friends staying in other hotels), the hotel was really well situated (walking distance to the pub street - 10 min) and the atmosphere was really nice.
There is a restaurant in the hotel.
The swimming pool is really nice, clean and with chairs around it.
The room was clean, big with a nice bathroom.
We took a tuk tuk that we found our self but we figured out that the one proposed by the hotel could have been even cheaper!
We booked bus tickets to Bangkok, the price was fine and we didn't have bad surprise.

We stayed here from 17 to 21 October 2011.
Tanei Guesthouse has its own website http://www.taneiguesthouse.com. We wrote a letter to their email and got an answer immediately. We agreed to a room with breakfast and free transfer from the airport via e-mail.
The hotel is in walking distance of 5 minutes from Pub Street, nearby Night Market.
We lived in an old building, on the 3rd floor. From the hallway on the floor was access to the shared balcony with good views of the city, here you can sit in the evening, drink and smoke.
Our room for $ 22 was large, air conditioned, TV, refrigerator, a good wi-fi, hot water and free drinking bottled water.
We liked the pool and jacuzzi. Jacuzzi power button was not working, but the staff is always included it on our request.
The food in the restaurant was excellent! We was offered a good choice of different dishes at the breakfast. Quality of food is no worse than on Pub Street, and much cheaper.
We ordered tuk tuk for 3 days directly at Tanei Guesthouse and the driver has fully complied with our wishes on the route to the sights.
Staff was very friendly!
We had a great time!

Our 2 night stay was absolutely fabulous. The responsibility was from owner and staff, they have planned our visits and tours to the minimun detail. Thank you very much!

We stayed here for 4 nights May/ June. Rooms clean and spacious, serviced every day. Easy walk to Markets, food, Pub Street. Breakfast a bit ordinary, but really, that was the only thing wrong with the place. Try the bike hire in the little shop across the lane outside the entrance for a great, cheap and easy way to get around

I stayed here for 3 weeks in February of this year. For about $15USD a night I got a very large and clean room, good wifi in room, breakfast each day and a great room.

The staff were super friendly and helpful.

The location is great, only a 5 minute walk from pub street.

This place really ticked all the boxes for me. I'd recommend to anyone young or old!

Room Tip: If you arriving by bus or train I would ask the hotel to arrange a pick up for you. The tuk tuk driv...

Nothing to criticise regarding rooms nor location. Spacious, clean, air-con and hot water and located just a few minutes walk from night market. Everything was just fine. It's just that the guesthouse was too big and it lacked the coziness one expected in hostel. Staff was helpful yet not as friendly as expected. They were just doing their jobs but you couldn't feel their heart in explaining their city to you. But at least, they could speak proper English.
