Viroth's had come highly recommended by a friend who had stayed there some years ago. There were some good points: beautiful design, nice bedroom, very friendly staff, good location and nice breakfast. However, at $120 per night it was the most expensive accommodation we used in four weeks travelling around Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos and far from being the best. At that price you would at least expect a minibar or fridge in the room, WiFi throughout (it wasn't available in the bar/restaurant area), some toiletries other than one bar of (admittedly very nice lemongrass) soap. The pool is pretty but tiny. The area is quiet at night but if you use your room during the day there is a lot of noise from the air-conditioning extractor of the hotel opposite which continues all day and early evening. Not a problem at night, though.

I've stayed here twice in the last six months. The best value in Siem Reap. Well appointed rooms, with masses of storage space. Absolutely charming staff. Always prepared to assist. It's virtually like staying in a family house. it is walking distance to town, and also to the excellent eponymous Viroth's restaurant which has some of the best Khmer food in town in delightful surroundings. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Room Tip: Room 3 with a private terrace with access to the pool. A bit exposed. Room 7 on the first floor wit...

We loved this hotel and the town of Siem Reap. From the moment you walk in the gate you feel the tranquility of this place. Our room (for 3 people) was large with a big shower, private deck and a nice closet (which appear to be rare in this part of the world). The pool area is a great place to relax and cool off after a hot day at Angkor Wat. The staff were very helpful with getting us a guide, tuk-tuk, tickets to a local show, etc. Our flight left at 11pm and the staff allowed us to store our bags, use the pool and change. The hotel offers massages and my husband and i waited until the last day to get a massage, wish I would have done it earlier so I could have gotten more than one.

We had a great stay at Viroth's. The hotel design is top notch and classy. The staff was kind and they also let us crash there while we were waiting for an evening flight. The included breakfast is pretty good, if not stellar. The "spa" is just a small room, but we had pretty good massages there and it is tastefully done. We both got sick and it was a total relief to be able to ride it out in a cozy, clean, cool and charming space.

It's a shore walk to Wat Bo, which was a fun short excursion. We took tuk tuks to the main action downtown since they're only $1 and the walk isn't great. We were very happy to be on this quiet side street rather than the bustle of Pub Street!

We moved rooms midway because our initial room - Room 1 - was on the ground floor and shared a wall with reception, which made it really noisy. After we moved upstairs, we were thrilled!

This hotel was lovely, from the friendly and helpful staff to the quiet surrounds. Nice big rooms with an outside space and comfortable beds. The cocktails on the roof terrace are nice too, as is the breakfast. Excellent value for money, definitely recommended

We really enjoyed staying both at this hotel and the charming city of Siem Reap. Cambodians are extremely welcoming. Hotel is impeccable with excellent service. Highly recommended in pretty much all cases with an excellent central location.

Small designer hotel in the heart of Siem Reap, Cambodia. Very well designed and extremely friendly staff. It is not a full service hotel with fitness room, etc... but, rather a cozy b-n-b like inn with just the right amenities for us (pool, spa, and terraced lounge area).

We booked our tours and taxis (tuk-tuks) from the reception and getting to an from the town was very easy.

Highly recommended.
