Staff could not be more friendly, pool is great and atmosphere is terrific
We had a problem with the air con, but even in the middle of the night it was sorted out no problem

Only downside is the breakfast, but everything else was great.

It is a very cozy hotel, full of art that you could even buy. The English speaking staff will always be helpfull and give you advice for trips and everything else. You should book trips at the reception. They know the best guides and transportations. The staff is young (like the mojority of the population) though works professionally and seems to be very authentic.
The price-performance ratio is very good! It totally fulfils the Western standard.

The hotel provides a fantastic atmosphere and looks like a small oasis in Siem Reap.
They offer a pool, restaurant, air condition and spa. If you like to, relax while having a massage, we highly recommand one from blind people, especially from the nice and professional masseur "Dardan".
A very friendly and save Tuk Tuk-driver was "Van Thai". The normal price for a transport from the airport to the hotel is 5 Dollars, from the hotel to the city center is 2 Dollars. Tipping is not a must, but more than welcome. Some change for us is much money for these nice people.

Have a drink at the pool, enjoy the local Khmer food in the restaurant or just relax at the terrace or the lounge looking at some Khmer art. Downstairs there are also two desktop computer which you can use free of charge.

We have been there for three days, but thought about staying longer just because of the nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Enjoy your trip and Angkor Wat!

Room Tip: We had a room next to the reception, but everything was quiet - even there. We have not seen rooms...

We loved this small traditional Thai hotel, with beautiful furniture and so may artifacts to dress the hotel. The staff and service were perfect and were very helpful and smiling. It was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful gallery where you could sit and relax and a lovely gardened tranquil pool area. It was outside the hustle and bustle of the city, but there was always a very cheap tuk tuk outside to take you wherever you wanted to go. The dinner was good, but breakfast was not the best I have had.
When we checked out, we had unfortunately been given the wrong bill to pay ( we did not notice it) our taxi driver on the way to the airport had a telephone call to tell us we had been overcharged and they would meet us there to give us the refund. They duly arrived very apologetic to rectify the error, we were very impressed.
We would certainly visit this hotel again if we were in Siem Reap - every busy hot city needs a hotel like this

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool.

Hanuman is a great Hotel just away from the main Heart of Siem Reap. Tucked away just off the main road. This is a boutique hotel of 14 rooms. All furnished in the local style. After a full day visiting the Temples or surrounding areas, Hamuman is just perfect as a place to return to. Small swimming pool, it never seemed to be over crowded.
All the staff want to help.Yes a young team but nothing is to much for them. If you treat & respect them, then you get the service you want. Breakfast is a Continental Buffet with fresh fruit, fresh croissants & cereals. If you want a Cooked Breakfast this is cooked to order.
If you arrive late in the afternoon, the Hotels restaurant perfect. Great selection of local dishes.
Will i becoming back to Siem Reap. Yes. Will i be staying at Hanuman.. Yes.
If you have found the perfect hotel, why look else where.

We stayed four nights in this very attractive small (14 rooms) hotel on the north side of Siem Reap, using it as a base for several trips to Angkor Wat and some of the other temples. It has the will and the potential to be excellent, but in our experience is not there yet. The rooms are very attractive in a traditional way, and the small pool is a pleasant area to cool off in. The staff were plenty, in number, and were young and terribly keen to be helpful and do everything right; but - they are all very young, and appeared to have no organisation or management. Simple things like getting even the first cup of coffee at breakfast were often beyond them, and no-one seemed to notice when, for example, clammy wet towels needed moving from the pool area. It wasn't enough to spoil our four days, in fact in some ways we felt sorry for them almost as grandparents might for youngsters who couldn't quite manage it, but it did raise the question as to what Hanuman - a major tour company presumably owning the hotel, and having their office next door - were doing to leave it without any proper management.

Room Tip: As far as we could gather, all rooms are the same price; some in fact are much more spacious than ot...
