“Best location in Siem Reap”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

We stayed here for 5 nights in November 2012 with another couple. We were very happy with this hotel, it is centrally located and within a stone's throw away from the market which is really the center of town. Restaurants are within walking distance, and there is a grocery nearby as well (best to ask directions from front desk).
Make sure you get a room in the main building, where the buffet breakfast is located and the pool as well. This saves you a trip across the street which is not pleasant given the hot weather. Rooms are adequately sized, clean, and the AC worked well. Bathroom is also clean and water pressure is strong. There are also good massage places available at low prices, and the service is given with a smile.
When going out, beware of tuktuk drivers who may lure you to go to stand-alone jewelry shops which are overpriced. If you're planning to shop for jewelry with semi-precious stones, the market is the best place to go. Ask for real 18k gold setting and compare quality, prices and designs before buying. Haggling is definitely a must, and try to knock off at least 40% especially if you're buying a lot.
Breakfast offering is basic but adequate, i especially liked the pickled radish on top of hot congee. My only complaint is the coffee which is better to miss, take tea instead.
Overall I have no complaints and the price you pay is definitely worth it.

Room Tip: Request a room in the main building where the pool is located. Even rooms facing the street are qui...

We stayed here Feb 2013 and found this hotel ideal in every aspect. Ideal for walking straight out into Siem Reap old town, yet our room was quiet for a good night's sleep. Staff very attentive and helpful. Good pool for a few hours' relaxation mid-day. Breakfast buffet can cater for most nationalities although can get depleted quickly if a big group is eating at the same time. Thoroughly recommend this hotel over some of the more plusher ones outside of the old town - here you can soak up the atmosphere, get close to the markets and shops, and have a great choice of restaurants without having to get transport.

This hotel is situated just at the edge of the main area but retains a quite aspect. the rooms are large and welll appointed. The pool area is small but adquate.Service from all the staff is excellent, the hotel privides a perfect base for exploring Ankor Temples. Our 4.30 start one morning was made better with the packed breakfast the hotel organised.

We stayed here during the period November 28 to December 1. It was overall an okay stay. The staff are very prompt and accommodating in answering emails. The staff are very friendly and makes you feel welcome with their ready smile. The rates are very reasonable. The rooms are huge. For the price, the included breakfast spread was more than adequate. The location is great, just a short walk to pub street. Tuktuks are always available in front of the hotel.
Just a few comments for improvement: 1. During our stay, one cannot make local calls from the hotel room. We were told that the telephone inside the hotel rooms can only make calls to the reception area. If one needs to make a local call, one needs to go down to the hotel reception. They charge $0.50 per minute. 2. There are very small fruit flies in the bedroom but more so in the bathroom. It can get irritating to have the bugs hover around you particularly when you are about to fall asleep.

After reading many fantastic reviews on this hotel, i decided to stay at this hotel. This hotel was chosen based on the location and price. I do not plan to spend to much on accomodation as most of our time will be outdoor touring around the temples. To us, a hotel situated near night markets would be ideal. We made the right decision in terms of opting to stay nearby night markets. You can literally walked across the street and there is pub street, Art Centre Night market and restaurants, cafes and shops are everywhere around this hotel. Every night after our long tours, we went out walking around the areas without having to take the tuk tuks.
With this price, you get what you paid for. I have no complaints on all the basics, from room cleanliness, breakfast, free wifi and etc.
The lobby is not airconditioned so after a long sweaty day outside, this is not so nice. The breakfast room is also very small. We choose to do our breakfast quite late to avoid the big crowds. 9.30am is the ideal time as most of the big groups have left hotel. On our last day, due to our early flight, we had to go down for breakfast earlier at about 7am. I guess this is peak hour for breakfast. We could not get a table and asked the staff for solution. My advice is to bear with the staff as they were very buzy and language barriers requires more time for them to understand. Finally he understood our problem and led us to the swimming area (outdoor) for breakfast. This was indeed a very pleasant solution, having breakfast outdoor in a nice morning weather with the swimming pool view. Some luxury feel at a budget priced hotel. Overall i would recomend this hotel to any travellers who likes to stay around happening areas (around pubs, restaurants, shops) and do not want to spend too much on accomodation. Do not expect superb 5 stars fine service to avoid dissapointment.
One more positive note on this hotel, every rooms comes with a nice size balcony and i enjoyed people watching from the balcony.

Lovely hotel, nice clean comfortable room, friendly staff and a nice swimming pool. In the centre of the town, near the day and night market. Lots of restaurants around. Very lively at nigh.
The only problem was the AC was a bit to loud.
