I stayed here with a couple of friends over a weekend while visiting Siem Reap. The guesthouse was wonderful. It was a great value for the price (which included 2 good breakfasts and a great dinner). We were picked up right on time from the bus station and greeted with fruit smoothies upon arrival to the guesthouse. Everyone was incredibly friendly and our Tuck Tuck driver, Plate was super nice and told us a little bit about the temples as we traveled. He also gave us a great recommendation for a hike on our last day.
The guesthouse itself was very clean and in a good location. Our room was clean and spacious with air conditioning and a hot shower (WC style). We were all very impressed with this place!

My husband and I stayed here on 25-26 April and cannot believe that the previous review could be so different from our views. Through our own fault we were not picked up from the bus station as we omitted to let Mr Bovuth know our arrival time. However when we rang him, he was there in 15 minutes flat and was very disappointed he could not have been there to pick us when we arrived. We were checked in with a welcome drink and shown to our room which was so large!! This family business guesthouse is situated in one of the best kept gardens I have seen and the rooms and surroundings are clean, the staff are very accommodating and pleasant. They just can't seem to do enough for you. We got one of the staff Sem Bunthorn drive us around town and to the temples - he was a great guide and spoke good English. Yes Bou Savy is a little away from the main drag, but its only US$1 by tuk tuk and its nice to get away from it all. A tip is to use the guesthouse services to get the best deals. Even the breakfast is included in the cost - its a bargain of a place!

We stayed at Bou Savy Guesthouse for 3 nights (from May 1 until May 3)and we absolutely love the place!!

I emailed the owner my reservation online and i got a quick reply to my email. It is not in the backpackers area around town, but it's only about 10 to 15 minutes away by tuktuk -which they easily provide to you.

We booked a twin bed room and it cost us only $15 a night for a room. Our room was spacious and clean and it had fan, AC unit, small fridge, TV, private bath, 2 large beds. They offered welcome drinks when we arrived and immediately took care of my concern wanting to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat the next day (we arrived late evening). Our $15 a night room comes with free America breakfast and 1 free dinner. Had we stayed one more night, it would have been free; but we were only there for a short trip (total 3 nights). They have free bottled water in the room and they also have internet cafe great for connecting online.

We wanted to watch the Apsara dance performance and the owner immediately helped us book it. We had a front row seat at the Amazon Angkor restaurant. That was probably the most expensive unnecessary item i paid for. The buffet and show cost $12 per performance. They were good, but weren't so phenomenal in my opinion. Both the dinner and performance were over in about 1.5 hours.

Still, the accommodating owner/people at this guesthouse is its true gem. They are very friendly, happy people and they are there really to cater to your every whim. They also speak good English. We noticed that they have very good relationship with the tuktuk drivers they are connected to. These tuktuk drivers also help around the restaurant whenever they are in the guesthouse. They respond immediately to our requests. Our driver for 2 days was Von Sokhei and he is a funny, 26-year old Khmer driver who is very humble and accommodating. He waited for us patiently and initiated offers on taking us to the restaurant and to the bus station on the day of our departure. We couldn't have been more grateful for this Von Sokhei for taking very good care of us and bringing us safely to our destination. There is also one other driver, i think his name is Ricky and he speaks much better English than our driver. He's very friendly and helpful too and he is always smiling, which is great.

This place has a "homey" appeal to it, which is what we love. We love our room (basic but it's got everything we need and for the price they offer, you can't beat such a great deal), we love their little restaurant by the garden and we absolutely love the people at Bou Savy!!

I highly recommend this guesthouse for travellers on a budget and I am looking forward to staying here on my next visit to Siem Reap. More power Bou Savy!

We booked 5 nights at Bou Savy based on the reviews on Trip Advisor & we ended up staying less than 2 hours. This place is too far outside of central Siem Reap to walk & the room we were given (room 101) stank of damp. There are literally hundreds of nice guest houses closer to Siem Reap centre that are much better than this place. For the same price we got a nice clean place, with air con & a pool which was less than 5 minutes walk from the centre.
Maybe we were just given a bad room, everyone else seems to have been happy with the place. The location for us though was really bad, it's much better to be closer to the centre.

Nice place to base yourself for your stay in Siem Reap with private rooms and cable t.v, cleaned daily, free bus pickup, free delicious breakfast with on-site internet and a restaurant serving nice food, and other nice places to eat nearby too. The staff were friendly and helpful and gave us a great 2 day tour around Angkor.
