“Really nice stay, very friendly staff.”
Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

We were more than happy with our stay at the Villa. We were greeted at the airport by very friendly tuk tuk drivers sent by the hotel, armed with ice cold drinks for us. Driving to the hotel on the back was a great first impression of Siem Reap.

At the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly staff member, who took the time to give us a map, and explain all about the temples and what else there was to do, which was very helpful. We hired tuk tuk drivers for the day through the hotel, which was awesome. We paid $15 a day, plus a little extra if you wanted to do a sunrise or late night. The tuk tuk drivers were amazing, they had a little ice box filled with water for us, and always had a smile.

The rooms were big and spacious, and very reasonably priced. As other reviews have mentioned, don't expect a high pressure shower, but it was fine for a quick rinse off. The staff always went out of their way to help us and answer any questions we had. At the end of our stay they booked us a private car to Poipet for $35, there were 4 of us so it worked out reasonably.

The location was good, a couple of minutes walk from the main drag and night markets, on a nice quiet street. There were places to eat and convenience stores very close by.

We would definitely stay again.

The staff was kind enough of accommodate our late flight arrival. The package we (2pax) availed was a great balance between sight-seeing and much needed rest. The pace of the tours was great.
One actually has the final decision on which temples to go, on which date. The place is clean since you take off your shoes before entering the main resort/premises. WiFi is fast.
The shower/showerhead could use some improvements.

I had a pleasant experience with The Villa Siem Reap. Excellent service from the Staff. Our booked room near the Pool area is very spacious. good food and coffee. One more advantage is The Villa is just a walk away from the Pub center and Old Market. Very convenient for night out and shopping.

I suggest to get a tour guide for your full temple tour. We missed the detail that our tour guide is only for 1 day. We didnt get to appreciate the second temple tour since we are travelling without a guide -- Angkor Wat & minor temples is rich with history and stories. Having a Tour Guide is a Must.

Room Tip: Rooms near the pool have a good net connection & very spacious.

We got the name of this place from some people we we met at a conference and at first I was a little sceptical. But from our arrival onward I was very impressed with the service of the staff at the front desk and restaurant. During our 3 night stay they couldn't do enough to make sure your needs were taken care of.

They were able to arrange for an extremely knowledgeable guide on short notice that made the trips to the various temples educational and entertaining (we certainly would have missed a lot without him). They were also able to arrange a car and very safe driver for our trip Phnom Penh as a very reasonable price. I simply can't say enough about the staff and the locals they utilize to provide the various services to their guests.

The room we had was on the main floor. It was large, comfortable (good air con), clean, and free of any insects. Nobody turned up their noses when we arrived back at the hotel from our Quad Adventure (highly recommend) covered in red dust from head to toe, and extra towels etc were promptly made available. The room could use some new paint, but is all anyone "really" needs.

The hotel was way better than what we expected. We reached the hotel at 4:30am and surprisingly the hotel staffs were awake and helped us though. In the room that we were given, we were not able to lock the bathroom door and reported the problem. We were changed to another room in ten mins, great hospitality. We stayed in the ground floor, the room was clean and neat. It is a 10 mins walk to the pub street from here.

On the whole, great value to the money. Strongly recommend this hotel.

We booked the Villa Siem Reap because of the positive reviews and package. The hotel was great, the service excellent and always friendly. The staff do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. The tour part of our package was far more than we expected ; the driver was a lovely man, superb guide on his own and he was at our disposal for three days. The tour guide was
excellent too. If you are looking for friendly charm and great service you won't regret staying here. My only suggestion would be to ask for a basic itinerary if you book the package so you know what to expect next.

Overall good experience. Responsive and helpful staff. They made arrangements for Tuktuk drivers for all my needs while in Siem Reap. Breakfast was good. Rooms were nice but they could use a more aggressive maintenance program. The hotel owner was very responsive to some unforeseen electrical power interuptions (which lasted days) by swiftly acquiring an 100KVA generator, a huge benefit to having guaranteed AC in that stiffling heat. Hotel located close to the main attractions in town. I'd stay there again.
