Review of Bayon Boutique
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 9, 2019via mobile
Bayon Boutique is at the quiet end of an alley, but only a 5 minute walk from pub street. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious and the staff was very nice. I would not recommend a room on the fourth floor since it is right under the hot roof and the air conditioner was undersized. When we went out, we had to take the metal key off of the key holder so we could leave the key holder in the slot so that the air con would continue to run while we were out.

The pool was very nice but five lounge chairs are not nearly enough for the number of guests returning from Angkor Wat and wanting to cool off and hang.

Still, an excellent overall choice.

Clean place, helpful and smiley staff. Large rooms with enough amenities for your pleasant stay. Close to center and pub street. There is spa center and swimming pool (perfect clean). Restaurant is also very good.

Such a nice little hotel in an awesome location. My room was the closest to the school so be prepared for the noise 6 days a week from 7am until about 5pm. Most people are out all day anyway. Aircon is not very strong so they supplied me with a good fan. Because of the fan noise I could have a nap during the day as it muffled the school noise. Pool is lovely but it only gets about 3hrs of sun per day which is plenty for me. Really nice breakfast and many choices. Staff are very nice although such a language barrier when it comes to English, but that could be our Australian accents. I would stay here again if I was able to get 1st floor again as there are too many steps. Rooms are very large and very comfortable, clever designs and are different from your average hotel room. Location is fantastic, close to San Sok Rd and only a block from Pub Street. Loads of bars and restaurants nearby which makes it nicer than going to Pub Street every night.

Room tip: Try and be away from the school

Location of the Hotel is excellent. Walking distance to pub street and Angkor night market. Hotel pool was great after the temple run. Room was big and AC works fine for us. Siem Reap Masjid and some halal restaurants are also nearby. Staffs are friendly and English is OK.

They provide airport transfer but we do not get the service while we reached there. Hotel does not have lift. If you have big language ask for lower floor room. We did not eat anything in the hotel, so does not know about that.

Overall good experience.

My room is called Executive Double, about 29 USD a night via agoda. I didn't buy breakfast. It's so large with 2 separate restrooms: one has a basin and a shower room, the other has a basin and toilet. Good air-con. Had a huge fan in room but we didn't need it. A balcony is nice with a table and chair. Hotel and room are not new but good enough to stay. Staff are pleasant to talk to. Hotel is in a small lane so it's quiet. I rent a motorcycle near the hotel for 10 USD a day around 8am to 8:30pm to visit the Angkor Wat and other temples. Nice welcome drinks. Thank you. Room is not as clean as I thought but this is not an international chained hotel and that is expected.

The location is good, close enough to the main area like Pub street and Night market (walking distance) with lot of cheap food and spa but far enough for a peaceful rest at night. Room was a bit old but spacious and bed was comfortable.
