This would come under a medium price hotel at just under $60 a night including breakfast. Breakfast was fairly typical by cambodian standards. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the centre of town which is ideal. The room was a good size and the bathroon came upto expected european standards. Service was good and the room was cleamed regularly every day. The swimming pool although not large was adequate and enough sun loungers provided.

5 minutes on foot of old market so you avoid its noise. No wi-fi in the room (only in restaurant and pool but slow), plug for cable internet hidden behind the bed but didn't work (maybe my notebook). Big room but no curtain in the shower and linen not clean. Few employees speaking english. Good breakfast. So, not a bad hotel but too expensive for its service.

Thank you for your feedback. We are a three star hotel offering FREE internet to all guests through out the hotel (free wi-fi in restaurant, roof-top pool, and plug-in cable in all rooms). Very few hotels are offering this type of service in siem reap. We have shower curtain in every single room. Bathroom without shower curtain is unacceptable by our hotel standard. The lack of english speaking staffs is normal here in Siem Reap. We're trying our best to improve this service on the daily basis.

When it comes to price, most other guests will disagree with you if you read other reviews. We offer one of the best location, price, and service in Siem Reap.

We do take every comment and feedback very seriously. We apologize for any inconvenience during your stay at our hotel. We wish to serve you better during your next stay.

Our first trip to Siem Reap so not sure what to expect but all went very well-friendly and polite staff at this hotel, good facilities, location and good value for money.
Lovely roof-top pool (open till late) which was wonderful after a hot day out at the temples.Served cold beer and nice meals at a good price with no extra charges( ++service charges etc)
We hired the van(air-con) and driver to see the temples was also went very well.
Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel turned out to be like what most trip advisors have described. It is truely a wonderful place to stay and has exceeded my expectation in many ways. Great value! Spent 4 nites there. Breakfast was good with a selection of both asian and american dishes. Is is also close to a great restaurant (just the hotel next door to the right) and a small cafe (to the left) that serve good pizza at the most affordable price, in addition to some japanese dishes too. We also had no problem getting a tuk tuk driver (US $15) in front of the hotel to bring us around for 3 full days of temple viewing. A truely memorable experience.

This hotel was a quiet, cool refuge after temple trekking. Cocktails on the rooftop were so cheap. Rooms were very clean and secure. Loved it. Very good value.

This hotel is located in an ideal place with close proximity to all attractions. In all our travels throughout the world we have never met such a gracious staff who are willing to meet your every need. The workers make you feel at home. They are always smiling and are eager to make sure that the traveler does not encounter any obstacles. The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooftop pool with a bar provides a serene place to relax and swim.
I cannot say enough about this great hotel with its fantastic atmosphere, great food and above all a price that is unbeatable. I recommend this hotel to anyone and without reservations.

The City River Hotel is an outstanding value: helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfast, high speed internet, rooftop pool, good location, prompt laundry service and clean throughout. The room and bathroom were immaculate. It was a very few minutes walk to the old market. A very pleasant experience at fantastic price.
