“A first class stay, out of town”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

The hotel experience was first rate. If we had a problem the affable, friendly staff found a solution. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was very spacious and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The pool is a very good size and sun loungers are plentiful. Hotel breakfast offered a good array of choice including a local noodle soup dish cooked to the recipient's liking and breads and pastries were delightful. Tea and coffee wasn't so good but this seems to be a recurring theme in many hotels in Asia. A free shuttle bus was provided to and from town every two hours although we preferred to use Mr. Sokha and his tuk tuk for the ten minute journey. The journey itself is no hardship and if anything magnifies the relief to escape the hustle and bustle of the crowds to the Royal Angkor, as a quiet haven of tranquility.
Free airport transfers are provided in a comfortable mini bus on arrival or departure.
The Siem Reap experience was made all the better for staying at the Royal Angkor. Many thanks to them for their hospitality.

We arrive the resort at late evening after a long journey, and the first impression was the lobby. The Khmer decoration is in every detail, together with the traditional music that make us so relax. Warm welcome and smooth check in.

We room was not very special, however, it's large and I found it comfortable.

The staff here was amazing. We had forgot a small pack on bus from PhnomPenh, and asked the receptionist if he could help us to check with the bus. He handled very quickly and we got our pack in the next morning! The staff at the restaurant was so nice and attentive, too.

We had 2 dinners in the resort and the food was good. Huge breakfast, too. Do not miss the plain yogurt.

Would recommend the resort to anyone who is looking for something peaceful, relax and traditional at a reasonable budget.

From the moment we arrived at the Royal Angkor Resort the staff and hotel made us feel very welcome with high levels of service. The hotel is a great base for visiting the temples around Angkor Wat and is very peaceful which can be handy after a long journey from bangkok. The hotel staff made us feel at home and can arrange all trips for you with or without a guide. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again next time we are in SiemReap.

This Hotel has a superb location between the airport and the centre of Siem Reap and although situated on a main road is very quiet. The Resort's complimentary shuttle service or a $3 mototuk ride takes you to the town centre within 10 minutes. The aesthetics of the hotel are impressive, the swimming pool is magnificent and the guest rooms are clean and spacious. What sets this resort apart from others of the same star rating, is the Staff. Nothing was too much trouble and every Staff member made us feel special, smiles were in abundance in all departments. We highly recommend this hotel and found it to be excellent value for money. Should we be fortunate enough to return to Cambodia, we will definitely choose to stay at the Royal Angkor.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool have a beautiful view

A first class service from the staff who not only go out their way to help but are also incredibly polite and friendly. The hotel is well kept, clean and beautiful; loved the pool, which looks stunning and is olympic sized! The hotel is set away from the hassle of downtown, which suited us well. They operate a free shuttle to town ( only ten minutes journey) so access is very easy. We also took Tuk Tuks a few times for $3 each way.
Our room was very spacious and well kept. We extended our stay without any hassle.
I would recommend this place to any friends coming over.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room.

Loved this place. Great pool, lovely breakfast and dinner restaurant, good rooms. Best part was the staff, so friendly and eager to assist. Was further out of town than some but very close to airport and has a shuttle bus but is also pretty quick trip on a tuk tuk.
