One of the more unique temples in the Angkor complex... used as a center of healing with intricate carvings and a lake on which it sits. Its a pity you can only go around half of it, but still worth a quick visit.

This is a small site that we visited at the end of our day. Long walk from the road to Neak Pean, but it is fenced off. Hard to get much in the way of photos or a real understanding of the place. I would just read up on this and probably skip it.

Part of the grand circuit. This does not take long to visit, just 15 minutes at the most. But it is quite unique compared to all the temples, so don’t miss it. It is surrounded by water, like an island so you actually cannot stand on the temple, but you stand back and appreciate the beauty of the unique design

the main temple in settled in the middle of one artificial water pound .
all around there is 4 smaller water areas, it s really unique and unusual, if you think that all the temples are the same, here the architecture style is completly different
There is a long wood bridge for the access, the sceneries are wonderful, and i suppose that it s even better during the rainning season !

We visited this site late in the day, (still blazing sun), and were happy to give it a miss, however our most excellent guide Rethy From Angkor Private Tour Guide (see review), insisted we should go, it did not disappoint. The walk along the long boardwalk (over a marshy area) to the island is part of the experience. The Buddhist temple in the centre pool of five gives the visitor a calming effect, it was nice just to sit in amongst the greenery that covers the site.
