“Nothing special”
Reviewed December 3, 2013

Just another touristic market in the heart of Siem Reap. Many selling the same things. Everything you expect in a tourist market is there - souvenirs, art, handcraft, clothes, fake and real jewelery among others. Some of the t-shirts are funny though.

“All in one market”
Reviewed October 4, 2013

Well there is not many places you can visited in Siem Reap, Central Market is one stop where you can buy souvenirs, T-shirts, spices, local products under one roof. As mentioned earlier by the rest, you need to bargain, but you have many stalls selling the same item, so if you have a choice to compare prices. Majority of the stalls quoted you in USD, but are willing to take in Thai Baht as well. Bought a few T-shirts at USD2, shawl at USD5, and two gem stones, one ring and one pendant at USD21 for both (how real is it...I really don't mind), but we bought a lot from the stall located at the entrance to the gems section. Around the market has many restaurants and pubs, where you can take a break. Well, the whole of Siem Reap selling more the less the same things and prices do not differ much.

“Not many choices”

Limited of choices for souvenir shopping.. Only selling clothes, t-shirts, few accessories. Prefer night market where a great deal can get..

“Dont be scared to bargain”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

goods in this market are at inflated prices to start with so dont be scared to try to bargain the prices down.
Take a walk through the fresh food section too and see them cutting up fresh fish and meat on plates on the floor and also see all the fresh produce that has come into the market for the day for sale.
Close to Pub Street anbd a wide range of tourist type goods on sale.
