These are good markets and the place to go to buy your souvenirs from Siem Reap. It can get extremely hot and humid in the markets so go in the late afternoon. When haggling bare in mind the average wage in Cambodia of a $1 a day.. I bought some bracelets for friends here and although they are worth no more than 20c you make their day by giving a little more!

Just about anything you ever wanted can be purchased at the Central Market. It has clothing, food, furniture, and a number of services. It got a haircut there. In the area are many restaurants and massage parlors. Get a foot massage to help you recover from walking around the temples.

We walked around here in about an hour. They sell some really nice stuff and you can get a good price. Be prepared to be hassled abit by the stall owners saying "lady what you looking for" or " mr what you pay for this" some can be quite pushing but generally a no thank you did the trick. Haggle on your price but remember that one dollar to you is nothing but to them it is everything. So get a good price but don't be too harsh. These people just want to make a living. Look out for the recycled products made from old cement bags. Really good stuff and it's for a good cause.

If you are into wooden masks or other handcrafts, this is a place for you. Just don't forget to haggle!
