Visited in Nov 2009. Part of the huge Angkor Archaeological Park, the Bayon temple from a distance seems like a jumble of huge rocks, but as you get closer you begin to make out the huge, peaceful faces looking to all four directions.
There are 37 standing towers, most but not all sporting four serene carved faces.
This temple, for me, was even better than Angkor Wat, it is incredible. As with all the sites, it gets very busy.
