We were so glad that we visited this temple on the 2nd day in Siem Reap. This place is certainly not as popular as Angkor Wat or Ta Prohm but is just as beautiful.

We have visited 6 temples and this is one of our favorites. It is huge and has mainly 2 intersecting passages that are 800*700 metres in length. It has some magnificent trees that are trying to claim it and still retains some beautiful carvings
This specific water body gives an additional beauty to the temple complex and in the very first morning, the sunrise appears huge from the side of its. The whole sky becomes reddish which color is mirrored in the enormous water body leads to it being a heavenly sight!
If I did it again, I would start here to truly appreciate the temple. While any one piece, such as carvings or size, is surpassed at other temple sites, the grand sum here is still quite impressive. It is also easy to get a bit lost here without a guide.
One of the most famous temples next to Siem Rip but to be honest is not very original like Angkor Wat or Bayon.
Preah Khan is a very beautiful temple which is beautifully preserved. You will visit our in the morning if you do the big circuit.
