We stayed for a total of 6 days at this hotel in December, 2007 and I have to say that the hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were extremely attentive with nothing being too difficult for them and the pool was great way to relax at the end of a long day. Food in the restaurant was superb. I can highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights. This is a pretty luxurious place, and the price reflects it (we paid $106 a night for a double room after tax). But compared to the other places in the area, this is actually really good value (Siem Reap's pretty tourist-savvy). The room was really restful, with scented candles lighting - designed to dissuade mosquitos from attacking the guests, wooden floor, effective AC and good TV. The staff were sort of formal, but very helpful and obviously very used to dealing with tourists. The breakfast was great! Pretty much anything you could want, and the whole pool / restaurant area is nicely laid out. Going back to those mosquitos - the scented candles didn't work, and I think in this area there's not much they can do about it, so bring something with Deet if you're there. The bar can be pretty lively at night, but that didn't bother us (as it bothered some other reviewers) so if that's a probably for you, bring earplugs!

This place is fantastic! From the booking emails from the staff through my departure, the FCC really made my stay wonderful in every way. They remembered my name on every interaction, facilitated reasonably priced guides and cars, and had the special friendly touch with everything they do. As a solo female traveler I felt incredibly safe and cared for, in a hip, design-centric accommodation. The breakfasts on the terrace were delicious and the ambience memorable. The candlelit, outdoor bar area was gorgeous at night. The spa facilities were top notch and very relaxing, using Jurlique products.

The FCC really helped make my stay in Siem Reap a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you!

We enjoyed a nice three night stay at FCC in late November. We were met at the airport and the check in process was completed in the car during our journey to the hotel.
Our room was on the inner courtyard looking inward towards the pool, it was a decent size with a large bathroom. Like previous reviewers we had an interconnecting door to the next room (with a large gap at the bottom) and did hear some noise but not too much. Luckily for us we had very quiet and considerate neighbours, otherwise I may have been rating this a 2 instead of a 4.
Breakfast was very good with some of the best croissants I've had anywhere, dinner in the hotel restaurant while expensive by Cambodian standards is still relatively cheap especially if choosing the local dishes and the atmosphere is very nice.
We booked a guide and driver through the hotel and could reccommend this as our guide was superb, a mine of information about Cambodia in general as well as the temples and he kept us away from the crowds with the itinery he chose. The staff were always very friendly and helpful and while we spent most of our time away from the hotel our time there was relaxed and enjoyable. A word of caution to travellers who are thinking of rising early or really value peace and quiet, then perhaps the King Garden rooms may not be the best option due to their interconnecting doors

Great style and fantastic staff. But the management organised two external parties while we were there, one finishing at after midnight with guests noisily in the pool outside our room and the other a disco until after 2.30 in the morning (sleep was impossible). The disco made this is the noisiest hotel I have ever staid in. I would not go back as getting out to the sites early means getting to sleep at a reasonable time and not being woken up at all hours.
The food is relatively expensive and not that great (certainly not as good as FCC Phnom Penh) - far better to spend a $1 on a tuk tuk to the 'pub street' area where there is some great food
